Prenditi il tuo tempo
Di te e di me
Ancora un po'
Pensa a noi
Perché quando poi tu leggerai
Io non ci sarò
Sarai lì, immobile
Ricorderai noi due
Piangerai
Ormai
Io non sarò che un triste addio
Io non ci sarò
Io non ci sarò
Io non ci sarò, oh
Io non ci sarò
E tu non ci sarai
Immobile, di pietra
Senza di me
These lyrics are from the song "Medusa" by Malika Ayane. In these lines, the singer reflects on the concept of time and the inevitability of separation or loss in a relationship.
The first paragraph sets the tone with the word "Respira" which translates to "Breathe." It signifies taking a moment to gather oneself and reflect. The singer encourages the listener to take their time and ponders about themselves and the other person in the relationship. The phrase "Ancora un po'" meaning "a little longer" implies that they want to hold onto the connection for a bit more.
In the second paragraph, the singer encourages the listener to think about "us." They want the person to remember their relationship and the moments they shared. This request appears to be a premonition of the future since the singer acknowledges that they will not be present when the listener reads or recalls these memories. It suggests a sense of finality or impending departure.
The third paragraph becomes more emotional and descriptive. The singer predicts that the listener, left alone, will be motionless like dust, symbolizing the stillness and emptiness that comes with loss. The image of dust connects to the theme of time passing and fading memories. The singer foresees that the listener will remember the two of them and shed tears, as a way to cope with the sorrow of the separation.
In the final paragraph, the singer repeats the phrase "Io non ci sarò" which means "I will not be there." It emphasizes that the singer's presence will be absent from the listener's life. The repetitions add a melancholic tone, as the singer admits that they will become nothing more than a sad farewell. The phrase "E tu non ci sarai" meaning "And you will not be there" adds to the sense of finality and mutual absence, further reinforcing the emotional impact of the impending separation.
Overall, these lyrics delve into themes of time, separation, and the lingering impact of a relationship. It highlights the bittersweet nature of memories and how they can both bring comfort and contribute to the pain of loss.
