What a lovely book of death he has written. You know you've gone too far when even the Catholic Church is like "we hate witches and all but this book is toxic."

Michael Turnage

Kramer was correct in some of his assertions about the supernatural, however this was probably just knowledge passed along and not through personal experiences or any real paranormal evidence. He erred in many regards because he was not led by the Ruach HaQodesh, the Spirit of Truth. Throughout his book he exhibited very unchristlike regard for witches, instead of loving them as sinners in need of repentance he condoned retaliation, murder and violence. Another problem is that many of the supposed "proofs" of witchcraft are based on misunderstanding and superstitious tales, hardly any different than medieval anti-semitism, like how the Catholics burned hundreds of rabbis for "kidnapping and torturing the communion wafer". Ridiculous stuff like that. Either way, sadly Kramer did not conduct himself in accordance with Yeshua's teachings, if he did he would not have made such a fool of himself. Malleus Maleficarum is only speculative and it misses many important arguments and points in exchange for sheer nonsense, I think there's a good reason why virtually none of his contemporaries took him seriously. The man was seriously mislead. The fact that later self proclaimed "witch hunters" used his work is an outright travesty and a direct attack against our God-given human rights, it's not so much an injustice towards those deceived by the occult as it is to humanity as a whole.

What a fantastic summary of this awful part of history. I recently bought "Bucklands Complete Book of Witchcraft" and in the first lesson is the history, and how the Malleus Malefiarum was behind the loss of an estimated 9 million lives! Which, when I read this, made me cry 😭 that just a few grumpy and narrow minded men with their own selfish agenda, who did Not gain the support of the heads of the place in Cologne, as they would sign to support it , so it was forged and so began centuries of persecution. 👿
Great content and I do hope this channel gets more recognition 🇦🇺🤘💜🤘🇦🇺

The title translation is wrong. Just wrong. Malleus maleficarum, the "Hexenhammer", does not translate to "Hammer of witches" but to "Hammer against witches" or "the hammer to smash witches" to make it clear.

Sledge Hammer

Thank you, that actually makes more sense.

Sluggy

What's wrong is the modern day interpretation. That's the old English translation and it's correct for it's time. Hammer would be the word for a literal hammer but it would also be a verb to meet out swift justice, defeat thoroughly or in this instance to be the bane of X's existence. This title just wasn't updated to reflect the change in modern language where it's never used that way but regardless it still shouldn't be necessary cause they'd have to be a complete half wit to think "Hammer of the Witches" for this book means a hammer held by witches or something like that.
King Edward the First well documented in history and known by his people as the "Hammer of the Scots" no translation was made. That's who he was known as. No history scholars are thinking "maybe Edward Longshanks wasn't a king and was just a hammer wielded by the Scots"

You don't need a book to tell you how to spot wiches! Any woman who owns a tall pointy hat and a black kitty is basically a witch. 🐱

My Catholic friends will deny this at all costs.

I gotta show this to my Latin teacher
