Fresh from a rollicking run of summer headline dates and festivals, WA soulstress Mama Kin is pleased to announce the release of her second single, To My Table, a song that bristles with New Orleans swamp and a foot-stomping groove.
From the debut album, Beat and Holler – in stores on July 9 – To My Table follows the success of Mama Kin's heartbreaking, yet melodic first single, Tore My Heart Out, a tune that is a finalist in the International Songwriting Competition and was named Rage indie clip of the week and iTunes/Daily Telegraph/Sunday Telegraph single of the week.
As riotous as it is raw, To My Table further exposes Mama Kin, revealing a strong femme fatale; a songwriter who engulfs you with her passion and rhythm.
To My Table is trademark Mama Kin. A raconteur with a keen interest in the flaws and fragility of humanity, here Mama Kin explores the tug of war that often creeps into relationships.
“This song is about remembering to remain generous," Mama Kin says. "Those times in a relationship where you become so focused on what the other person is not delivering, that you somehow forget the need to contribute."
