The band consists of lead singer Marieke Feys (ex Diescene), the brothers Lester & Dion Klaassen on bass and drum (both ex-California) and Mathieu Dupon on guitar. Their music can be described as a mix between stoner rock and alternative, post-grunge music as they are influenced by acts like Queens of the Stone Age, Creed, Puddle of Mudd and Foo Fighters.

I had a misspelled word in a massive tattoo, and it was my first tattoo (which for a first one, was considered massive and brave, which I am unaware of at the time)

I designed by tattoo. The tattoo ended up 40 cm width and 30 cm in height on the top of my back.

I was extremely nervous, and I looked at the designed that the tattoo artist had fixed up for me (as I can’t draw). I checked that the names of my mother and my two sisters were correct, but a tiny insignificant word, was misspelt by the artist, (my original design shows that I spelt everything correctly).

I lived with it for 6 years and found my life long tattoo artist, who fixed up the misspelling, recoloured and tightened up the entire piece.

It was painful, but so worth.

Suffice to say, I never went back to person who did my very first tattoo.

Just throwing this out there: I'm a firefighter/medic and a certified MUA. From my MUA experience: I am going to venture to say that his "injuries" were made via Mehron or Graftoban. Those are my preferred Special FX makeup brands. I literally lol when they showed his face. From my EMS experience: There ain't a doctor on earth who is going to let a kid walk out of the ER with gaping, open lacs, with absolutely zero sutures or bandaging. This preppy mommas boy would've bypassed the ER and been put in the hands of a Plastic Surgeon or other specialist to fix the wounds to prevent as much scarring as possible. Not to mention how easily she could've sued in her local jurisdiction. Total bs.

You can see on the original paper she brought, it says, born. The artist is is responsible for the design and should have caught it when you were drawing it and when you were doing the tattoo. It's a poor business woman and artist who wouldn't pay attention to the letter of a word.
You are responsible because it's your drawing and it's your ink.

For the second case i would say that it is a 50/50 responsibility. His fault for shaking it until it fell and theirs for not securing it. You can harm yourself in so many ways, so you can just say that you have to try and prevent certain things by locking sharp or blunt tools behind doors or bolt machines to the ground/walls. You can easily fall down stairs, run into walls or trees or railings and so on. People know that things will fall if you shake them, push them or hit them hard enough. If an item such as a machine starts to rock back and forth as you are shaking it, you dictate what will happen next. If you continue it will fall and if you stop it won't. He chose to first of all start shaking it, and then when it started to rock he continued to shake it. We shouldn't need to protect people from common sense.

The machine was pushed up against the wall so the only way for it to fall on him was for him to grab hold of it and pull it back and forth. Which means he pulled it on himself, that judge is useless if he could see it. And the tattoo artist knew that was a p and not a b and she still went ahead and tattooed it.

It's common knowledge that a kindergarten student could understand. It's his own fault for throwing a temper tantrum like a spoiled baby. Seriously just because being 17 is still considered being a minor it doesn't mean that a 17 year old gets to behave like a 2 year old. He needs to seriously grow up. I grew up with friends who were 9 year old boys back then and they were more mature than him. They would go to an employee or school official if their drink or snack got stuck in a vending machine. I think he did more than "push" the machine a little hard. I had lost change in one in high school & some guy I knew seen me walk away and asked what happened. So I told him and next thing I know he grabbed the corner and lifted in maybe 2 inches of the floor and drop it and out came my snack with no injuries. So I really believe he did more than shake it.

I'm no lawyer... I'm not sure why the plaintiff doesn't get at least some compensation. Waivers may protect against liability, but they don't protect against negligence, for the artist to use a design that is clearly not what the consumer asked for is negligence.

She said she gave their client previews/steps for approval (as I understand it) and once they're approved, then go to the next step, etc etc. HOWEVER. It should of been something to question at all steps for it to say that. Double ask if you have to. Anything explicit, ASK. Make sure the customer sees the work first. Always. Laying down? Ask to sit up to get a better view of the art. There's so many things that went wrong that could of been avoided. :/

It does not matter what happens, you are responsible for checking, double checking, and triple checking your design before giving the artist the green light. I'm pretty heavily tattooed and I always have at least a day or more to look at the digital design, that way it's easier to catch small mistakes, etc., that you may not see from a two minute look-over, mere momemts before the tattoo. Even if she misspelled a word, little miss perfect STILL said yes. Even if she showed her upside down and backwards, she said yes. Easy as that.

Bad decisions by judge in both cases. I think that in each case, both parties needed to carry some of the responsibility. In the first case, I believe that the tattoo artist should have refunded at least 100% of the cost of the tattoo. In the second case, the school should have paid for the medical expenses, but not anything else . The boy made the bad decision and should have faced the consequences of such. I would never expect vending machines to be Tethered to the wall.

Anytime I receive a tattoo I make sure the artist is able to go at the quality I want. I triple check the design no matter how small bc 1. it’s permanent 2. ITS F**KING PERMANENT 3. I’m making sure it’s exactly how I want it and if not, I tweaking it or not getting it done at all.

As a person receiving the tattoo, yes the artist is responsible for quality and service, but you as the customer must(and I MEAN MUST) understand that you must be fully aware of what they intend to tattoo and the legal documentation that you are signing when waiving your rights.

All shops have that signing to ensure clients are getting what they want and is basically a way of saying. You had time to opt out and you are legally entering this agreement.

Morally I’d be in the plaintiff’s favor, but sadly in legal terms im in favor of the defendant

It seems like the school, knowing "how boys are" (kids in general), would have bolted the machines to the wall, BEFORE they made them available for use. I'm sure the kid toppled it over trying to get his purchase BUT, if it was secured properly there would be no issue. he is horrible disfigured for life.

For the second case, the vending machine wasn't bolted down and the school knew that. They shouldn't have made the machine available for use until it was bolted. That's what my public school did and we went weeks without vending machines.

In my earlier years of tattooing I misspelled one word and I tremendously felt bad about it.
In my defense it was a word i didn't know how to spell I should have looked it up and I did take a picture and ask the client if it was ok and they said it was okay and even looked at it in the mirror.
Thankfully the client was extremely understanding about it and it was her error but I did fix it but it's still something that haunts me till this day.

I’d hate to break it to everyone but I’m 1000% believer that these cases are fake! The twin brother is wearing makeup! The cuts are too perfect and that’s what got my attention.
