The music of Mana Mana is composed of a driving bass accompanied with three distorted guitars and the haunting vocals of Jouni Mömmö. Jouni also wrote all the lyrics, filled with his view of the world and the anguish of mind.
After Jouni's death Mana Mana put out split single with an old previously unreleased song. There was also a compilation CD released which included all the recordings done by Mana Mana. In September 2000 the remaining members of the band released an album consisting of songs written and composed by Jouni Mömmö which were never recorded before.

Mun tyttöni joutui mielisairaalaan
Ei hänen sydämensä kestänyt enää ikävää
Ei hänen sydämensä kestänyt enää ikävää
Mun tyttöni joutui mielisairaalaan
Mun tyttöni joutui mielisairaalaan
Nyt hän uskoo olevansa Maria Magdaleena
Mä aion muuttaa luoksensa asumaan
Mä aion muuttaa luoksensa asumaan
Mä aion ottaa yliannostuksen jotain sekoittavaa
Mä aion ottaa yliannostuksen jotain huumavaa
Hän ei tiedä vielä itsekään
Millaista elämää hän joutuu viettämään
Hän oppi vihansa kautta rakastamaan
Hän oppi ylpeytensä kautta nöyrtymään
The lyrics to Mana Mana's song "Maria Magdalena" tell a tragic story of a girl who becomes overwhelmed by sadness and is ultimately institutionalized after her heart can no longer bear the weight of her longing. The repetition of the first two lines highlights the gravity of the situation and emphasizes the father's mourning for his daughter. The repetition of the third and fourth lines emphasize the despair of the daughter's heart and her ultimate descent into madness.
The second half of the song reveals the father's plans to be with his daughter in the institution, even if it means experimenting with drugs. The final two lines reveal that the daughter has learned to love through hatred and to be humble through pride, indicating that perhaps her experiences at the institution have led to her personal growth, despite the tragedy of her situation.
Overall, the lyrics offer a poignant commentary on the fragility of the human psyche and the importance of love, support, and growth in the face of adversity.

Parhautta.
@KrisseSydan
Tää on kyllä niin parhautta. Tulee aina satunnaisesti, yleisön pyynnöstä, esitettyä tätä keikoilla. Ajan piisi, joka Mana Manan itsensäkin toimesta taipui moneen muotoon. Tätä komeampaa piisiä on kyllä vaikea kenenkään tehdä. Puistattavan upeaa musiikkia!
