He is also a skater, which led to his career in hip hop; after an accident in 1998, he took time to focus on rap and was noticed by Trevor McNevan of Ontario-based band Thousand Foot Krutch. This led to his signing to an internationally distributed label, BEC Recordings, and debut release Epiphany, which was made primarily of West Coast hip hop with several rapcore outings in the vein of Limp Bizkit.
He released two independent albums, Mislead Youth (2001) and My Own Thing (2003), prior to Epiphany in 2005. He has toured in Canada, the United States and Ireland to date.
His second album, Glory, emphasized rap-rock elements with more Linkin Park-esque nu metal, and included more authentic hip hop stylings.
Central themes of Manafest's music include nonconformity, hip hop culture, and walking with God.
Manafest says in regards to Glory that: "I wanted to allow all of my influences show on Glory. Musically, I wanted to blend the appeal of Linkin Park, Sum 41, and The Beastie Boys. Vocally, I wanted to merge that with popular hip hop à la Eminem and Kanye West. But beyond musical influence, I wanted to reflect on the issues around me in the most positive way possible. And whether I am talking about the loss of loved ones and abuse, or breakdancing and skate culture, it's all for the glory of heaven. In the end, my prayer is that people would not simply bob their heads to this, but feel a very real sense of healing from the words. However, this record is not all serious. Some of my favorite tracks are the most lighthearted ones."

Tear it up with my past
If you want it Bring the ruckus Turn it up a notch
You want to see me burn, but burning up your barns and vermin
I’m busting verses and rehearsing for your burial
I’m doing cartwheels and aerials
Get out my way before I burry you
Carry you, out of my face is the scenario,
CHORUS:
You can try but you won’t take me down
I’m standing on my ground
As all the fear inside me fades away
You can try to get a reaction
But you’re no distraction to me
Bring the ruckus to me, bring the ruckus, bring the ruckus to me, Bring the Ruckus
Verse II
This ain’t the first or the last
I’m pistol-whipping the track
If you want it, come and get it
You can’t walk my path
I’m burning wholes in you, better run
When you gonna learn
Loaded weapons unloading on you
With every word
Shake you down into a misery, history
Know my enemy you’re not a friend of me fade away
Forever my time, all stars shine.
Telling you to come and BRING THE RUCKUS
CHORUS:
You can try but you won’t take me down
I’m standing on my ground
As all the fear inside me fades away
You can try to get a reaction
But you’re no distraction to me
Bring the ruckus to me!!!!!!!!!!
Bridge:
Bring it on I will be your enemy
Head strong you don’t want to fight with me
Bring it on I will be your enemy
Head strong you don’t want to fight with me
Bring it on I will be your enemy
Head strong you don’t want to fight with me
Bring it on I will be your enemy
Head strong you don’t want to fight with me
Chorus Repeats
"Bring the Ruckus" is a song by Manafest that reveals the artist's forceful determination to overcome obstacles and achieve success. The track starts by suggesting the artist’s readiness to leave the past behind and move forward in his quest. The rapper has no tolerance for those who try to bring him down. He invites them to bring their best to the table, indicating that he is ready for whatever they have to offer. Manafest's aggressive vocal delivery, which is reminiscent of early Eminem, helps drive this point home.
The first verse begins with a declaration of the artist's strong will and the readiness to take on anyone. He uses a metaphor to indicate that he plans on destroying his past to make way for a brighter future. The phrase "If you want it, bring the ruckus" is an invitation to his opponents to give their all and bring their best. Manafest indicates that he is not afraid of challenging those who make false accusations, going as far as saying that he will bury them.
