Too Late
Mandrill Lyrics

There's somethin' wrong here, there can be no denyin'.
One of us is changin', or maybe we've just stopped tryin'.
And it's too late, baby now, it's too late,
Though we really did try to make it.
Somethin' inside has died, and I can't hide,
And I just can't fake it, oh, no, no.
It used to be so easy, livin' here with you.
You were light and breezy, an' I knew just what to do.
Now you look so unhappy, and I feel like a fool.
And it's too late, baby now, it's too late,
Though we really did try to make it.
Somethin' inside has died, and I can't hide,
And I just can't fake it, oh, no, no.
There'll be good times again for me and you,
But we just can't stay together; don't you feel it too?
Still I'm glad for what we had and how I once loved you.
And it's too late, baby now, it's too late,
Though we really did try to make it. (we can't make it)
Somethin' inside has died, and I can't hide,
And I just can't fake it, oh, no, no, no, no, no, no.
It's too late baby, it's too late now darling
It's too late.
The song "It's Too Late" by Mandrill is a powerful anthem about the end of a relationship. The opening lines set the tone for the song, as the singer implies that something is not right in the relationship. They have stayed in bed all morning, a sign of apathy and disinterest. They realize that they may have changed or that they have simply given up trying. The chorus repeats the bleak reality that it is too late to save the relationship, despite their efforts to make it work. It is clear that one of them has undergone a significant change and that they can no longer fake their feelings.
The second verse is an acknowledgment of the good times that they once had. The singer reflects on how easy it used to be when they were happy and in love. However, things have changed, and they no longer know what to do. The song ends on a bittersweet note. The singer acknowledges that there may be good times again for them in the future, but they cannot stay together. They are glad for what they had and how they once loved each other. Still, it is too late. The relationship is over, and they must move on.
Overall, "It's Too Late" is a poignant song about heartbreak and the end of a relationship. It speaks to anyone who has experienced the pain of losing someone they loved.
