The band's launch was an immediate success with the covers of "Pavasariniai žiedai" (Spring Blossoms) and "Svetimi" (Strangers). Mango continued to achieve impressive milestones throughout their career, releasing nine albums that collectively sold over 310,000 copies. The band was recognized as the Band of the Year by Radiocentras Awards in 2000 and 2001 and by Bravo Awards in 2000.
In 2004, Mango faced a significant change when Asta Bridikytė left the group and was replaced by Lina Kaklytė. Despite the change, the band continued to produce music and entertain their audience. However, in 2007, Mango announced their retirement after releasing their third compilation of their best songs. They embarked on a farewell tour across Lithuania, including special appearances for Lithuanian communities in England, Ireland, and the United States. The final concert took place on March 31, 2008, at Šiauliai Arena, bringing an end to the band's ten-year career.
In 2014, Mango singer Rima Petrauskytė-Paulauskienė and the Bendžius brothers reunited MANGO with new members and continued releasing music under the new name "MAN-GO". Their return was a welcome development for their fans who had missed their music.
In 2018, Mango reached a significant milestone - their 20th anniversary in the Lithuanian music industry. This was a remarkable achievement for the band, and to commemorate the occasion, they released their 11th studio album, "2020". The album was an embodiment of Mango's signature sound, combining traditional Lithuanian folk music with contemporary pop beats and lyrics that celebrated love, life, and the human experience. "2020" was met with widespread acclaim from Mango's loyal fanbase and music critics alike, cementing the band's position as one of the most influential and enduring acts in Lithuanian music history.
Mango is also the stage name of a popular italian singer, born in Lagonegro, in Southern Italy (6 November 1954 – 8 December 2014). Dominó
Mango Lyrics

Mus einančias gatve kabinti bando
Toksai kuklus, bet velniškai žavus
Užkalbinti savy drąsos suranda
Stilingos kelnės, raudoni plaukai
Ir iš kolekcijos naujos batukai
Nors nužiūrėjome tave šaltai
Tačiau ėmei ir mus kažkuo užbūrei
Priedainis (4x):
Domino, jis mane sudomino...
Nors mašinytė tavo ir prasta
Ir piniginėj tavo švilpia vėjai
Bet pavažiuoti su tavim drauge
Kažkaip įtikinti mus sugebėjai
Priedainis (4x)...
Hmm, mažyte mažyte, kaip tau patinka mano mašinytė
Spoileriai, mėlynos lemputės, man patinka šitos mažutės
Hmm, lėtai važinėju, visas mieste nužiūrinėju
Trumpi sijonai, maikutės, kaip jos tiktų prie mano mašinytės
Priedainis (8x)...
The lyrics to Mango's song Domino describe a naive guy walking down the street, trying to charm passersby with his modest but attractive appearance. He wears stylish pants, red hair, and a new pair of shoes from his collection, and despite being given the cold shoulder by those around him, he manages to catch the attention of the song's narrator. The chorus repeats the phrase "Domino, jis mane sudomino," which translates to "Domino, he intrigued me."
Despite the guy's poor car and empty wallet, he manages to convince the singer and others to ride with him, with a charm that is undeniable. The last verse features the singer speaking directly to the guy, complimenting his car's spoiler and blue lights and admiring the short skirts and tank tops that would match his own car.
Overall, the song is a catchy tribute to this charming and subtle guy who manages to win over those around him with just a bit of charisma and attitude.
