The band's launch was an immediate success with the covers of "Pavasariniai žiedai" (Spring Blossoms) and "Svetimi" (Strangers). Mango continued to achieve impressive milestones throughout their career, releasing nine albums that collectively sold over 310,000 copies. The band was recognized as the Band of the Year by Radiocentras Awards in 2000 and 2001 and by Bravo Awards in 2000.
In 2004, Mango faced a significant change when Asta Bridikytė left the group and was replaced by Lina Kaklytė. Despite the change, the band continued to produce music and entertain their audience. However, in 2007, Mango announced their retirement after releasing their third compilation of their best songs. They embarked on a farewell tour across Lithuania, including special appearances for Lithuanian communities in England, Ireland, and the United States. The final concert took place on March 31, 2008, at Šiauliai Arena, bringing an end to the band's ten-year career.
In 2014, Mango singer Rima Petrauskytė-Paulauskienė and the Bendžius brothers reunited MANGO with new members and continued releasing music under the new name "MAN-GO". Their return was a welcome development for their fans who had missed their music.
In 2018, Mango reached a significant milestone - their 20th anniversary in the Lithuanian music industry. This was a remarkable achievement for the band, and to commemorate the occasion, they released their 11th studio album, "2020". The album was an embodiment of Mango's signature sound, combining traditional Lithuanian folk music with contemporary pop beats and lyrics that celebrated love, life, and the human experience. "2020" was met with widespread acclaim from Mango's loyal fanbase and music critics alike, cementing the band's position as one of the most influential and enduring acts in Lithuanian music history.

Dove Vai

Con la testa nel mio cuore
E il cuore in testa a me
Dove vai
Grande amore più leggero
Io sono lì con te
Prima delle braccia tue lo sai
Prima delle braccia tue lo sai
Il cielo era al suolo oramai
Ora non c'è niente che non c'è
Questo poco è sicuro
Fuori è cielo e il cielo va
Grandi mani per tenerti accanto
Più di tanto non ho
Non ti limiterò
Crescerò, questa mia, vita tua
Dove vai dove vai
Vattene piano lasciami un segno così
Sul petto sulla guancia tu che puoi
Considerarli regni tuoi
Dove vai dove vai
Stammi vicino prenditi quello che vuoi
La bocca spinge forte i baci suoi
E vince fortemente noi
Noi fra tanta gente anima mia
Stretto stretto questo amore sia
Indicibile sì
Noi umanamente qui
Con quelle generose ingenuità
Che si perdono poi
Stretto stretto resti in noi
Dove vai dove vai
Vattene piano lasciami un segno così
Sul petto sulla guancia tu che puoi
Considerarli regni tuoi
Dove vai dove vai
Niente dolore niente parole oramai
L'amore gioca con i tempi suoi
E vince fortemente noi
Ora vai
Con la testa nel tuo cuore
E il cuore in testa a me
In Mango's song "Dove Vai," the artist sings about love and loss, and the ability to grow and move on despite the pain. The lyrics speak of a love that is light and easy, and the desire to hold onto it tightly without limiting its growth. The singer is with this love, even before they have embraced, indicating a deep connection beyond physical touch. The first verse speaks of a great emptiness that the singer felt before this love came into their life, suggesting that this love has given them a sense of completeness. The chorus then begs the love to stay, to leave a mark on the singer's heart and face, to consider those places as their own kingdom. The second verse speaks of the power of the love's kisses, and how they overcome any obstacles that may arise. Finally, the song ends with the singer acknowledging that the love must go, but they will always be connected, with each other's heart in their head.
