The band's launch was an immediate success with the covers of "Pavasariniai žiedai" (Spring Blossoms) and "Svetimi" (Strangers). Mango continued to achieve impressive milestones throughout their career, releasing nine albums that collectively sold over 310,000 copies. The band was recognized as the Band of the Year by Radiocentras Awards in 2000 and 2001 and by Bravo Awards in 2000.
In 2004, Mango faced a significant change when Asta Bridikytė left the group and was replaced by Lina Kaklytė. Despite the change, the band continued to produce music and entertain their audience. However, in 2007, Mango announced their retirement after releasing their third compilation of their best songs. They embarked on a farewell tour across Lithuania, including special appearances for Lithuanian communities in England, Ireland, and the United States. The final concert took place on March 31, 2008, at Šiauliai Arena, bringing an end to the band's ten-year career.
In 2014, Mango singer Rima Petrauskytė-Paulauskienė and the Bendžius brothers reunited MANGO with new members and continued releasing music under the new name "MAN-GO". Their return was a welcome development for their fans who had missed their music.
In 2018, Mango reached a significant milestone - their 20th anniversary in the Lithuanian music industry. This was a remarkable achievement for the band, and to commemorate the occasion, they released their 11th studio album, "2020". The album was an embodiment of Mango's signature sound, combining traditional Lithuanian folk music with contemporary pop beats and lyrics that celebrated love, life, and the human experience. "2020" was met with widespread acclaim from Mango's loyal fanbase and music critics alike, cementing the band's position as one of the most influential and enduring acts in Lithuanian music history.
Lei Verrà

Io ne ho già sete
Lei verrà
Nel tempo che verrà
E scenderà
Giù per la collina
Da nuove città
Stanotte piove
E piove su noi
Che non c'incontriamo mai?
Lei verrà
Ma d'estate
Lei verrà
Perché io aspetto già
E scenderà
Forse di mattina
Dal fiume che va?
Per noi avrà
Strane parole
Quelle che non riesco a dire mai
Parole di cui ti vergogni
Ah ci sarà il sole
Nella stanza in fondo agli occhi tuoi
Amore che non dai più sogni
Amore che non dai
Lei verrà
Io ne ho già sete
E scenderà
Forse di mattina
Dal fiume che va
Per noi avrà
Strane parole
Quelle che non riesco a dire mai
Parole di cui ti vergogni
Ah ci sarà il sole
Nella stanza in fondo agli occhi tuoi
Amore che non dai più sogni
Amore che non dai
E avrò
Amore che non dai più sogni
Amore che non dai
The Italian song "Lei Verrà" by Mango tells the story of a man who is waiting for a woman (lei) to come into his life. He expresses his longing for her and his eagerness for her arrival by saying "Io ne ho già sete" which translates to "I already thirst for her." The man describes how he imagines the woman will come down the hill from new cities, possibly in the morning from a river.
Despite not having met this woman yet, the man asks the question "E piove su noi che non c'incontriamo mai?" which means "And it rains on us who never meet?" He is questioning why they have never crossed paths and why it seems like fate is never on their side.
The chorus repeats the idea that the woman will come, and when she does, she will bring with her strange words that he has never been able to say. He believes that there will be sunshine in the room that is deep in her eyes, and that she will bring a love that he has not been able to experience before. The song ends with a repetition of the phrase "Amore che non dai più sogni" which means "Love that no longer gives dreams," possibly indicating a love that is unfulfilled and not reciprocated.
Overall, "Lei Verrà" is a beautiful and poetic song that captures the longing and hope of waiting for a love that has yet to arrive.
