Manila Luzon Lyrics

Tu quieres este cuerpo?
Tu quieres este cuerpo?
Tu quieres este cuerpo?
Do you want this body?

I just want to explore
I want to take off my clothes
From my head to my toes
I know you feel it

I dont care if it shows
Cause Im just like a rose Water it and it grows
I know you feel it

I just wanna expose
I want to take off my clothes
From my head to my toes
I know you feel it

I dont care if it shows
Cause Im just like a rose Water it and it grows
I know you feel it

This body, this body
This body, this body
This body, this body

This body, this body
This body, this body
This body, this body

Could you deny?
Could you deny?
Could you deny baby that you just want this body?
Cause you and I
Cause you and I
Cause I was thinking you and I could maybe

You wanna see it again
You wanna touch it again make the world understand
I know you feel it

You wanna feel it again
You wanna tell other friends
No Baby this aint pretend
I know you feel it

You wanna see it again
You wanna touch it again make the world understand
I know you feel it

You wanna feel it again
You wanna tell other friends
No Baby this aint pretend

This body, this body
This body, this body
This body, this body

This body, this body
This body, this body
This body, this body

I know you feeling this

My curves, my legs
My ass, my waist
My
We can go to a private place

My curves, my face

Could you deny?
Could you deny?
Could you deny baby that you want this body?
Cause you and I
Cause you and I
Cause I was thinking you and I maybe

Could you deny baby that you want this body?
Cause you and I
Cause you and I
Cause I was thinking you and I maybe

You wanna see it again
You wanna touch it again
I know you feel it
Why cant the world understand?

You wanna feel it again
You wanna tell to a friend
Baby this aint pretending
I know you feel it

This body, this body
This body, this body
This body, this body

This body, this body
This body, this body
This body, this body

This body, this body
This body, this body
This body, this body

This body, this body
This body, this body
This body, this body

I know you feeling this
I know you feeling this
I know you feeling this
I know you feeling this

Do you want this body?

Overall Meaning

The main theme of the song "This Body" by Manila Luzon is the idea of self-love and body positivity. The song is an invitation to celebrate one's own body and personal uniqueness despite societal judgments and norms. This is expressed through the catchy chorus "You want this body? Could you deny, baby, that you want this body? Cause you and I, cause you and I, cause I was thinking you and I maybe." Manila Luzon sings that she just wants to be herself, she just wants to explore herself and celebrate what she has.

The lyrics encourage the listener to embrace their individuality, celebrate their curves, legs, face, butt, and everything that makes them unique. She uses the metaphor of a rose to explain that she is like a flower that just needs to be watered and taken care of to grow. There is a powerful motivation behind her words that encourage the listener to love themselves and take pride in the body that they have despite societal pressures.

In essence, "This Body" is a song about empowerment and liberation. It is about the freedom to be whoever you want to be and love your body unconditionally. The song appeals to anyone who has ever felt insecure or ashamed of their body and gives them a sense of pride and confidence.

I honestly have enjoyed all of Manila's singles and this is no exception. Plus, loving the egalitarianism, genderqueer fuckery and the body positivity in this video.
Adding in bodies of all gender shapes and sizes is one of those things that makes me really appreciate manila.

eeli1 Yes. Art.

I agree. It's good to start somewhere.
There will be more opportunities for Luzon to promote body positivity.
Maybe you will be the one to make it happen.

Robert Attard thanks for saving me the work of spelling out my opinion. Agree! ;)

Robert Attard I do mostly agree with the point you made, but Raja is a man, and not "porn star attractive" and there are two other men represented who are wearing androgynous makeup and clothes, which I identify with. They are not ripped, neither is raja. It would have been ideal to average and fat men represented as well, but I'm still very happy with the representation that is here.
I agree that she, and most other drag queens, don't need the eye candy they incorporate, but whatever.

Annoying Jacob

Me too:) makes me feel better about myself:D

Liepa G

Finally a song in drag community that shows all kinds of bodies (not only men, which is also uncommon) and shows people to love themselves.
