in the 80s Manowar was truly a unique band, with their own classically influenced distinctive style which sadly was abandoned in mid 90s. this song is a great representation of that style. a true masterpiece

To me Manowar sounds like Manowar weather it's from the 80's, 90's or 00's. They're a very enjoyable but very straightforward band with heavy but catchy riffs, bass wankery and Eric's souring vocals on top. To me the only thing that sounds different is the production quality. We all love to lament the "classic" sound and lineup they've been making the same music with minor tweaks from album to album since Battle Hym's.

And for my money, Ross was the new Iommi. Creative rhythms and leads that were unrivaled by most of his peers.
