Até quando não está
Na sua boca eu vejo as palavras
Que esqueceu de falar
Você esqueceu de se importar
E agora o que restou, nada
E eu não sei mais porquê
E eu não consigo entender
Minha fraqueza pelos seus meios sorrisos
Que aparecem só quando você quer
Pra me acalmar
Pra me acalmar
E eu não sei mais porquê
E eu não sei mais porquê
Eu me contento com o pouco que você me da
E eu não consigo entender
Não, não
E eu não sei mais porquê
Eu me contento com o pouco que você me da
E eu não consigo entender
Não, não, não
E eu não sei mais porquê
E eu não consigo entender
Não, não
In "Meio Sorriso," Manu Gavassi sings about being in a relationship where the other person has stopped showing love and caring. Gavassi begins by acknowledging that time passes, and everything seems okay on the surface, but she knows that something is not right. She sees the unspoken words in her partner's mouth, realizing that they've forgotten to care. The relationship has dwindled down to nothing. Gavassi questions why she's content with so little and can't comprehend her weakness for her partner's half-smiles that only appear when she wants to be calmed down. She continues to make an effort to be what her partner wants, but they've forgotten to notice her. Gavassi wonders why she continues to settle for so little, and her partner's indifference is beyond her understanding.
The song gives a glimpse into the struggles of being in a one-sided relationship where one partner has stopped putting in effort, and the other is left trying to keep the relationship going. The lyrics evoke feelings of longing, confusion, and sadness, as Gavassi laments about a relationship that is slowly losing its spark. The song's chorus is particularly emotive, as Gavassi repeats the phrase "Eu não sei mais porquê" ("I don't know why anymore") to express her confusion and frustration with the situation.
