Come Now Is The Time To Worship
Maranatha! Music Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Come
Now is the time to worship
Come
Now is the time to give your heart
Come
Just as you are to worship
Come
Just as you are before your God
Come

One day every tongue will confess You are God
One day every knee will bow
Still the greatest treasure remains for those
Who gladly choose You now

Come, now is the time to worship

Come, now is the time to give your heart.
Come, just as you are, to worship.
Come, just as you are, before your God.
Come
One day every tounge will confess You are God.
One day every knee will bow.
Still the greatest treasure remains for those Who gladly choose you now.
One day every tongue will confess You are God
One day every knee will bow
Still the greatest treasure remains for those Who gladly choose you now.
One day every tongue will confess You are God
One day every knee will bow
Still the greatest treasure remains for those Who gladly choose you now.
Come, now is the time to worship
Come, now is the time to give your heart.
Come, just as you are to worship
Come, just as you are before your God, come.

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to "Come, Now is the Time to Worship" by Maranatha! Music encourage listeners to come together and worship God in the present moment. The repetition of "Come" emphasizes the invitation to join in worship just as we are, without any pretense or grandeur. The lyrics speak to the idea that one day all will acknowledge God's greatness, but in the present, the opportunity to willingly choose to worship Him is available to us. The song emphasizes that even though our understanding of God's love and grace will never be complete, we can still come to Him just as we are and experience His presence.

3/3/23. Thanks for posting this. I was working on a Bible Study Fellowship lesson on "God's Handiwork in the Hard Seasons of Life" from the Divided Kingdom study this morning. Realizing what a privilege it is to be called, redeemed, and realize Christ is King NOW, and not being forced to bow my knees and confess with with my tongue, but to willingly, lovingly know Him and love Him freely now. I'm realizing what a privilege we called believers have!! It brought this song to mind- "the greatest treasure remains for those who choose to trust Him now." This is a good worship song. And I've always loved Maranatha! Music.
