Y siempre me estoy imaginando
Las veces que el te haré suya
No puedo aguantar tantos celos
Me muero de envidia
Envidia, queriendo ser luna do noche
Y siempre me estoy imaginando
Las veces que el te haré suya
No puedo aguantar tantos celos
Me muero de envidia
Envidia, queriendo ser luna do noche
The song "Celos" by Marc Anthony is about a man who has never experienced jealousy before, but after meeting a woman he is deeply attracted to and finding out she's in a committed relationship, he becomes consumed by jealousy and envy. The lyrics express his struggle to reconcile his feelings with his principles and morals, as well as his obsession with the woman he desires.
The first verse establishes the singer's sense of self-acceptance and ability to learn from his past experiences. However, everything changes when he meets the object of his obsession, whose beauty and unavailability make him struggle with envy and jealousy. He wants to be close to her, even if it means spying on her and following her every move. The chorus repeats the theme of jealousy and envy, with the singer unable to withstand the thought of his desired woman being with someone else.
The second verse expands on the singer's obsession and the extent of his envy, wishing to be the man who touches and pleases the woman he desires. He acknowledges that his emotions are going against his principles and dignity, yet he cannot help his feelings. The song ends with an expression of the singer's desperation and pain, acknowledging that his jealousy may lead to his eventual downfall.

I have never wanted to change myself for anyone in my life
Pues con mis defectos y con mis virtudes siempre pude aceptarme
With my flaws and my virtues, I have always been able to accept myself
De mis fracasos, mis amores, siempre aprendí de mis errores
I have always learned from my mistakes, from my failures and loves
But I have never felt jealousy or envy towards anyone
Until destiny placed your angelic gaze before me
And that's how my obsession, my madness to conquer you, started
But upon learning that you were not free, I did not distance myself, but instead wanted
To be as close to you as possible, spy on you, and follow you wherever you go
Envidia, me muero de celos y envidia
Envy, I am dying from jealousy and envy
Thinking about the way he touches you
Y siempre me estoy imaginando
And I'm always imagining
Las veces que el te haré suya
The times he will make you his
No puedo aguantar tantos celos
I can't handle so much jealousy
Envidia, queriendo ser luna de noche
Envy, wanting to be the moon at night
Y así ser testigo de tanto derroche
And be a witness to all that waste
Wanting to exchange my life for that man's
And love you until you forget his name
Va contra mis principios, mi moral, mi dignidad
It goes against my principles, my morals, my dignity
To have feelings of love for a woman who belongs to someone else
Which will be my condemnation that will kill me
Que celos, los malditos celos
Oh, jealousy, those accursed jealousies
These jealousies will end my life
I don't know what's happening to me, this cursed envy
That I know will finish me off if I don't make you mine
I can't go on living like this, in this agony
Vivir así no puedo más
I can't go on living like this
Te digo no puedo más
I tell you, I can't go on
No puedo más, no puedo más
I can't go on, I can't go on
