He began his recording career singing the English-language dance music known as freestyle, but he hit his stride between 1993 and 1997 with his first three salsa albums (Otra Nota, Todo a Su Tiempo, and Contra La Corriente). These productions established him as the top-selling singer in the history of the genre, able to sell out Madison Square Garden and prestigious venues internationally. Marc Anthony is a singer, songwriter, actor, record producer and television producer. Anthony is also the top selling tropical salsa artist of all time. The two-time Grammy Award and five-time Latin Grammy Award winner has sold more than 12 million albums worldwide.[5] He is best known for his Latin salsa numbers and ballads. In 1991 he released his first album, When the Night is Over. His 1995 collection, "Todo a su tiempo", was nominated for a Grammy with songs like "Te Conozco Bien", "Hasta Ayer", "Nadie Como Ella", "Se Me Sigue Olvidando", "Te Amare", and "Llegaste A Mi".

Hace 25 años atrás conocí a un chico de mi barrio, si bien siempre me saludo, por los años que me lleva (que en aquel entonces 6 o 7 años más se notaban mucho) nunca se fijó en mi. Él se casó muy joven. Yo viví mi adolescencia, después me mudé a la capital de mi país. Años después me fui a vivir al exterior, me casé. Y cuando mi matrimonio fracasó decidí regresar a mi pueblo. Y ahí estaba él, un hombre de unos 44 años feliz de la vida porque yo había regresado, nervioso cuando tenía la oportunidad de hablar conmigo. Ya no me veía como esa niña que se sonrojaba al verlo, aunque ahora todavía no podía disimular que me temblaban las manos cuando me hablaba. Y finalmente salimos... 25 años después me vio!
