No Sabes Como Dueles
Marc Anthony Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
No sabes come duele aceptar
Que para mi es urgente olvidarte
Y no tengo valor para empezar
The lyrics of Marc Anthony's song 'No Sabes Como Duele' revolve around the physical and emotional pain of a breakup. The song begins with the artist expressing the expectation of yet another cruel night, without the comfort of his loved one's voice. Every moment in his surroundings bears the memory of his ex-partner, and his heart aches in their absence. The singer reminiscences about their shared past, from the photographs on the wall to the first picture they took together, every moment reminding him of the love he lost.
The chorus is particularly poignant as the artist exclaims that his ex-lover doesn't know how much pain their absence has inflicted on him. He suggests that the person he loved has no idea of the damage they have caused to him emotionally. The singer conveys a sense of unvoiced hurt, the overwhelming pain of letting go of someone who was once an integral part of him. The song's lyrics are intense and relatable, resonating with anyone who has had to endure a painful breakup.
