Marc is best known for the songs "Where You Are" and "Home." Broussard previously released several independent efforts, including 2002's Momentary Setback which spawned the hit "The Wanderer", a song about self discovery. A re-worked version of the song appears on Carencro. As of July 2005, "Home" was released as a single.
Although Broussard is rather unknown, he is characteristically known and critically praised for his strong vocals. However, he has garnered an uptick in popularity thanks to a snappy tune "Must Be The Water" which is featured in television commercials on TNT for the 2008 NBA All-Star game held in New Orleans.

Gotta let the music, music, music
Get Down in your soul
Forget all your frustrations
And let the music music music
Get down in your soul
Get on up, up, My brother,
And let the music, get down in your soul
And let the music get down in your soul
Everyday ain't gonna be sunny No
Gotta let the music, music, music
Get down in your soul
Life ain't filled with milk and honey No
Gotta let the music music music
Get down in your soul
Get on up, yeah my brother
And let the music get down in your soul
Get on up, yeah my sister
And let the music get down in your soul
Things ain't as bad as they may seem
But you can't find reality living in a dream
The strength you need, you had it all the time
You'll find the answers in the back of your mind
Get on up, up yeah my brother up
And let the music get down in your soul
Get on up, up yeah my sister, up
And let the music get down in your soul
Things ain't as bad as they may seem
But you can't find reality living in a dream
The strength you need, you had it all the time
You'll find the answer, in the back of your mind
Get on up, up yeah my brother up
And let the music get down in your soul
Get on up, up yeah my sister up
And let the music get down in your soul
Forget all you frustrations
Come on come on come on
And let the music music music
Get down in your soul
The lyrics of "Let The Music Get Down In Your Soul" by Marc Broussard are an expressive and evocative portrayal of the power of music as a means of escape and healing from the difficulties and struggles of everyday life. The song speaks of the overwhelming challenges that can arise in one's life, but also emphasizes that music can serve as a balm and a refuge. The message is simple: when life gets too complicated, turn to music - let it permeate your soul, forget your frustrations, and allow it to uplift and inspire you.
The lyrics also suggest that life is not always going to be easy, but that the key to overcoming obstacles lies within one's own mind. The strength we need to face life's challenges is already inside us, and we can find the answers we need by tapping into our own inner resources. Music serves as a catalyst for this process, encouraging us to "get on up" and find the resilience we need to face whatever life throws our way.
