The lyrics of Marc Lavoine's song Les Dunes Blanches describe a dreamy state where the singer is lost in his thoughts and imaginations. He finds himself on white dunes and drifting away, dreaming between his lover's hips. He admires her, picturing her nakedness and sketching her with his movements. The singer's state of mind goes beyond the physical aspect of the relationship as he expresses his longing for her presence and the unending days they spend together. The white dunes he describes signify the purity and beauty of the bond they share without any regrets, and they both get lost in each other's world.
The lyrics put emphasis on the power of belief and faith that can create a world of their own. The singer believes that it's possible to see his lover again on the white dunes, and it's then when he realizes how much he longs for her. The last part of the song emphasizes the intensity of their relationship, where they touch and become one on the dunes, and their bond is what ultimately separates them from the rest of the world.
