In November 2004, Arredondo released her second album, Not Going Under. This was the first album to have videos from the singles, as Arredondo did not produce any videos for her first album.
After Arredondo released her album, Min Jul (My christmas) (some tracks produced and arranged by Jon Lord of Deep Purple), she made some shows and then took a break.
Arredondo was among other contributions of singers like Marit Larsen in the song "For a Friend" and Marion Raven in the song "That Day", Both members of the defunct band M2M.
Arredondo's three albums have combined sales of over 150,000.
On 12 November 2007, she released her first album in two years, For A Moment. The first single from this album, "Brief and Beautiful" became a monster-hit throughout the fall. "Brief and Beautiful" was written by Hanne Sørvaag and Harry Sommerdahl, and a Spanish-language adaptation of this song called "Fue para los dos" was released earlier in 2007 by Spanish singer Edurne.
Her fourth album was met with mixed reviews. On the album, "Even when you're with me" is a cover of the Spanish singer Chenoa's "Me Enamoro Del Dolor", and "If You Could Only See Me" was originally recorded by another Norwegian artist called Ina.
In the fall of 2007, it was also announced that Arredondo will star as Maria Von Trapp in the Sound of Music, which went to be a major production in Norway - premiering in the fall of 2008. This was the first major production of the Sound of Music in Norway in about 20 years (Sissel Kyrkjebø played the part as Maria Von Trapp back then).
Arredondo entered the qualifying rounds of the Melodi Grand Prix 2010 (the Norwegian selection process for the Eurovision Song Contest) on 16 January 2010 and was voted through to the national final, with the song "The Touch", which is written by Rolf Løvland.
Today,/2013) Maria works (beside her singing career) 20% in Heggedal church, Asker.

Like a paper card
Floating in a stream
I?m trying to pick up
I?m trying to believe
it's cold outside
The door is shut
Is all I've got
[chorus]
Don't you ever need, I do
Don't you ever feel, I do
Don't you ever want someone to miss you cause I do
Cause I do
don't you ever cry, I do
Don't you ever break, I do
Don't you ever wanna love someone so much it hurts you
Cause I do
V2:
A solitary heart
A million miles away
From your ivory tower
Nothing can escape
I wanna break them through
Melt the ice
I wanna get to you
Am I loosing this fight
[chorus]
Don't you ever need, I do
Don't you ever feel, I do
Don't you ever want someone to miss you cause I do
don't you ever cry, I do
Don't you ever break, I do
Don't you ever wanna love someone so much it hurts you
V3:
I know that it's so much more inside you
But the walls you build
Around your heart
I can't get through
What if all those walls would crumble
Would you run away
Would you let me in
I need to know
don't you ever cry, I do
Don't you ever break, I do
Don't you ever wanna love someone so much it hurts you
don't you ever need, I do
Don't you ever feel, I do
Don?t you ever want someone to miss you cause I do
don't you ever cry,I do
Don't you ever break,I do
Don't you ever wanna love someone so much it hurts you
Cause I do
I do , I do
The song "I Do" by Maria Arredondo is a song about yearning and longing for someone who may not feel the same way. The first verse describes the feeling of being lost and trying to hold onto something, even if it's just a "paper card floating in a stream." The singer is trying to believe in something that may no longer exist, or may never have existed, but the hope remains. The second verse references being far away from the person the singer wants, like they're in an "ivory tower" and nothing can escape. The singer wants to break through and get to this person, but they wonder if they're losing the fight.
The chorus repeats the phrase "Don't you ever..." followed by a desire that the singer has, like "need" or "feel" or "want someone to miss you." The singer then affirms that they do those things, saying "I do" multiple times. In the bridge, the singer acknowledges that there could be more to the person they want, but they can't get through the walls around their heart. The singer wonders if they would run away or let them in if those walls came down.
Overall, the song is a heartfelt plea for connection and love from someone who feels alone and wants to share their feelings with someone else. It's a vulnerable expression of desire that anyone who's ever felt alone or disconnected can relate to.
