Te Solté La Rienda

Mientras dure el aroma,
De las flores marchitas
Que dejaste al partir.
Mientras dure la lluvia
Seguiré con la duda,
De seguir encerrada
O salir a mojarme por ti.
Cargar con la culpa,
Para hacerme la idea
De que no estás aquí.
Tal vez fuiste un sueño,
Tal vez solo un fantasma,
De la noche de agosto
Que entro por mi ventana
Para robar mi alma
Para incendiar mi cama.
Pero mientras los días
Pasen por mi ventana
Y me siga negando
Aceptar que perdí.
Seguiré imaginando, el azul de tu ojos
Mientras bebo mentiras de los labios de otro
Tal vez fue que mis besos te supieron a poco.
Mientras esta guitarra
Siga desafinada,
Mientras siga esperando
A que vuelva tu voz.
A romper mis oídos
Con canciones amargas,
Y al pasar la tormenta
Solo quedan palabras,
Que me roban el alma
Que incendian mi cama.
Pero mientras los días
Pasen por mi ventana
Y me siga negando
Aceptar que perdí.
Seguiré imaginando, el azul de tu ojos
Mientras bebo mentiras de los labios de otro
Tal vez fue que mis besos te supieron a poco.
Pero mientras los días
Pasen por mi ventana
Y me siga negando
Aceptar que perdí.
Naranana Nana
The song Te solté la rienda by María Dolores Pradera portrays the aftermath of a breakup where the singer is still holding on to the memories and emotions of the relationship. The first verse sets the scene of a moonlit night surrounded by the scent of withered flowers left by the departing lover. The second verse is more introspective, as the singer contemplates whether to continue wallowing in grief or to try and move on. She admits that she is burdened with the guilt of the failed relationship and accepts that the lover is no longer with her. However, she still holds onto the idea that perhaps it was just a dream or a ghostly presence that haunted her. The final verse brings the focus back to the present where the singer is still haunted by the memories of the past, waiting for the lover to return with their bittersweet music.
The lyrics of the song are melancholic and wistful, capturing the essence of lost love and the difficulty of letting go. The imagery used in the song, such as the moon, withered flowers, and guitar music, adds to the somber mood created by the music itself. The ambiguity of whether the lover was real or not adds to the dreamlike quality of the song, leaving the listener to interpret what it means to them.
