And I get emotional inside
I know it's crazy
But you still can touch my heart
And after all this time
You'd think that I
Wouldn't feel the same
But time melts into nothing
I still believe
Someday you and me
Will find ourselves in love again
I had a dream
Someday you and me
Will find ourselves in love again
Each day of my life
I'm filled with all the joy I could find
You know that I
I'm not the desperate type
If there's one spark of hope
Left in my grasp
I'll hold it with both hands
It's worth the risk of burning
To have a second chance
No, no, no, no, no, no I need you baby
I still believe that we can be together, no no
If we believe that true love never has to end
Then we must know that we will love again.
I still believe
Someday you and me
Will find ourselves in love again
I had a dream
You and me
Will find ourselves in love again
I still believe
Someday you and me
Will find ourselves in love again
I had a dream
Someday you and me
Will find ourselves in love again
The song "I Still Believe" by Mariah Carey is about holding onto hope for a past love despite the passing of time and the struggles that come with it. The lyrics express the idea that although things may not have worked out in the past, there is still a chance that they could find themselves in love again. The opening lines of the song reveal that the singer still has emotional feelings for their former partner and they cannot help but let their heart be touched by them. This seems to be an unexpected feeling as the lyrics mention "I know it's crazy" indicating that it may be seen by others as illogical or irrational to still have these emotions after all this time.
The chorus of the song returns to the central idea of the song, the hope that someday they will find themselves in love again. This idea is reinforced with the repetition of the phrase "I still believe" at the beginning of each chorus. The lyrics suggest that the singer is not willing to move on completely from their past love, as they believe that if they hold on to hope and belief in love, they will be able to find it with each other once again.
The verse that follows the chorus expresses the concept of being content with their lives regardless of whether or not they are in a relationship. This is evident from the lyrics, "Each day of my life I'm filled with all the joy I could find, You know that I'm not the desperate type". Despite finding joy in life, the hope of being in love once again is never far away as the lyrics reveal "If there's one spark of hope left in my grasp, I'll hold it with both hands, It's worth the risk of burning, To have a second chance".
Overall, the song "I Still Believe" is about holding onto hope and embracing the idea that true love never really ends. The lyrics express the idea that despite the passage of time, the hope and belief that true love can be found with an individual can never truly fade away.

This song originally came out in 1987 by an artist named Brenda K Starr. Mariah Carey was her back up singer during that time. Mariah was able to make it in the music business. Both women are beautiful and sang this song very well and with strong emotions. This is my favorite song definitely a true classic and will always be. ❤

False! The original was from a black girl from Alabama in 1986,5 called “Kunta Kinte Konto Kanti Kalinte” but because she was black they let Brenda K Starr cover it! They killed Kunta Kinte Konto Kanti Kalinte with 32 shots and burried her alive! Never forget the name!!! Rip Kunta Kinte Konto Kanti Kalinte!!!!!!
