Minha Missão
Mariana Aydar Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Nascem no coração do povo
A esperança de um mundo novo
E a luta para se viver em paz
Do poder da criação sou continuação
E quero agradecer
Foi ouvida a minha súplica
Mensageira sou da música
O meu canto é uma missão, tem força de oração
E eu cumpro o meu dever
Há os que vivem a chorar
Eu vivo pra cantar e canto para viver
(repete tudo)
Meu pranto...
Quando eu canto a morte me percorre
E eu solto um canto da garganta
E a cigarra quando canta morre
E a madeira quando morre canta
In Mariana Aydar's song Minha Missão, the lyrics are about the power and purpose of music in the singer's life. The singer explains that when she sings, it is to relieve her own pain and that of others who have suffered greatly. She also feels like she is feeling the light of a saint and kneeling at God's feet when she sings. As she sings, she announces the day, soothes the night, exposes oppression, and sings against tyranny. Through her melody, she aims to ignite hope for a better world in people's hearts and encourage them to fight for peace.
The lyrics suggest that the singer sees music as an integral part of creative power, and she is simply a continuation of that force. She is grateful that her musical plea has been heard, and she considers herself a messenger of music. The singer believes that her singing is more than just a performance; it is a mission with the power of prayer. She believes that while some people live their lives crying, she lives to sing and sings to live, showing the transformative power of music.
