Apaguen luces,
Vengan ya
Mi música los prenderá
Soy dulce
También soy sensual
Y a veces soy un animal
Yo soy
La reina de la noche
La que sonríe,
Luego se esconde
Yo soy
Un camaleón sin dueño
Hey tú despierta
Ven a mí, ven a mí
Sólo soy tal y como soy
Sin mil disfraces,
Copia de nadie
Si yo soy lo que soy yo
Con este baile
Mi sangre arde
Ahora voy a continuar
Conoce esta novedad
Mercadotecnia no la hay
Ven y compruébala
Soy fuerte como un león
Y tierna causo sensación
Muñeca que puedes tocar
Yo soy
La reina de la noche
La que sonríe,
Luego se esconde
Yo soy
Un camaleón sin dueño
Hey tú despierta
Ven a mí, ven a mí
Si, ven a mí
Si, ven a mí
Si, ven a mí
Sólo soy tal y como soy
Sin mil disfraces,
Copia de nadie
Si yo soy lo que soy yo
Con este baile
Mi sangre arde...

The lyrics to Mariana Ochoa's song "Yo Soy" are about self-expression, individuality, and embracing one's own uniqueness. The song starts off with an invitation for everyone to join in and let the music take hold of them. Mariana sings about being sweet, sensual, and sometimes animalistic, but her magic will captivate everyone who listens. She establishes herself as the queen of the night who smiles but then disappears, a chameleon without an owner that others should come to.
Mariana emphasizes that she is not a copy of anyone else, but simply herself with no masks or fake identities. She is strong like a lion but also causes a sensation with her tenderness. She is like a doll that can be touched, but ultimately, she is just being herself with her dance and passion igniting her blood. The lyrics seem to challenge the audience to be themselves, be unique and to embrace their individuality.
One can interpret the song as a call for people to step out of their comfort zones, shed their fears, and embrace themselves for who they truly are. Mariana is confident, powerful, and unapologetically herself. The lyrics of the song suggest that by being true to oneself, other people will be drawn towards them by the irresistible charm of individuality.
