Cause as I said many many times before:
this sound is really really wicked!
I know that you probably know a lot of fine girls
Know that weve known each other only since few days
Know that you’re busy and girls take a lot of time (Yes they do…)
I know that you’re b-boy
I’m not gonna make you change your hardcore style
Somehow we’re similar
Cause music rules our lives
That’s why I see a possibility to get closer
As you can see I’m not afraid
To let you know me
You can be sure of me
(You can be, yes, sure of me, boy)
I’ve made my choice
You can be sure of me
Cause I’m not looking for fast love
I really don’t want you to spend your time
sitting at work from nine till five
I’m not interested in your money
I’d rather you were still so funny
You can be sure of me I’ve made my choice (I’ve made my)
I love you rude bwoy
There’s no room for strange thoughts
Unnecessary distractions
There’s no room for strange thoughts
Unnecessary distractions
Any any any anyway
I’m not going any anywhere
I’m right here to make it clear
I’ve made my choice
Any any any anyway
I’m not going any anywhere
I’m right here to make it clear
I love you rude boy
The lyrics of Marika's song Funky So Sure appear to be a declaration of love and trust towards a "rude boy" she has recently met at a club. Marika seems to be aware of the stereotypes around b-boys, but she does not intend to make him change his ways or be any different from who he is. She understands that his passion for music is what rules his life, and she sees it as a possibility to connect on a deeper level.
The chorus of the song reinforces this idea of choosing someone for who they are and not for superficial reasons. Marika is not interested in fast love or the traditional gender roles that society may impose, such as the man being the provider. She values humor and personality above material possessions and is willing to be clear about her intentions towards her partner.
The repetition of "any any any anyway" in the last section of the song is a powerful affirmation of her presence and commitment to the relationship. By repeating this phrase, Marika emphasizes the importance of being clear about her feelings and that she is not going anywhere.
