Ondas queimam rochas com seu sal
Vibrações do sol no por da estrada
Muita coisa, quase nada
Cataclismas, carnaval
Há muitos planetas habitados
E o vazio da imensidão do céu
E essa voz que Deus me deu
Mas nada é igual a ela e eu
The lyrics of Marina Lima's song "Ela E Eu" talks about the vastness and complexity of the world around us, yet despite all of it, nothing compares to the unique and special connection between "her" and "I." The opening lines talk about how there are intense colors in flowers and the power of the waves crashing against rocks with its salt. It then goes on to describe the vibrations of the sun setting on the road, which is a metaphor for the passing of time and the changes that come with it. The song also touches on the concept of good and evil, pleasure and pain, and how our experiences shape us. It ends with the artist stating that despite everything else in this vast universe, there is nothing quite like the connection she shares with her significant other.
