Rastros de luz
Marina Lima Lyrics

De cama em cama, bar em bar,
Que vou sem rumo e me confundo
Diz: "ela não sabe mais amar"
Pois o que eu quero é o que outro me leve
E me esqueça o que for pesado
Pois eu vou longe, eu vou leve
E não quero mais nem passado
É tudo por seu amor
Sou um astro, um rastro de luz,
Um cometa ao seu redor
Que às vezes ninguém vê
Mas sempre que eu não vejo
Você no meio das coisas
Eu vivo puro desejo
De encontrar você no espaço
Uma estação diferente
Nos horizontes que eu traço,
Precária mas permanente.
The opening lines of Marina Lima's "Rastros de Luz" suggest a lack of stability in the singer's life. She moves from bed to bed and bar to bar, seeming to lose her sense of direction. Those who observe this behavior might think that she is no longer capable of love. However, the singer clarifies that she simply wants someone to carry her and help her let go of the past, without the weight of negative memories holding her down. She is determined to keep moving forward, and although she may make mistakes along the way, everything she does is for the sake of love.
The song's title, "Rastros de Luz," translates to "Traces of Light." This speaks to the idea that although the singer may sometimes feel lost and uncertain, she is still a force to be reckoned with. She is like a comet, leaving behind a trail of light that serves as a reminder of her presence. Despite her struggles, she is still illuminating the world around her with her energy and vitality. Furthermore, the final lines of the song suggest that the singer is searching for something beyond the physical world - a "different station" in the vast expanse of space. This could symbolize her search for meaning, purpose, and connection, beyond the distractions and superficialities that sometimes consume us.
