Entre o Rio e a Raz
Mariza Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Overall Meaning

In these lyrics, Mariza expresses her deep connection to Lisbon, the capital city of Portugal. She describes feeling close to the city in a magical way, as if holding hands with it. She mentions the river Tagus, which flows through the city, and the reason or logic that exists there (likely referring to the history and heritage of the city). She sees Lisbon as a constant presence in her heart, even as time passes and things change.

Mariza also speaks of the power of words and their ability to capture the essence of Lisbon, even as the city evolves into the future. She acknowledges the difficulty in trying to define the city and the emotions it evokes, as she mentions the possibility of conflicting opinions on what is right or wrong. She refers to the Tejo (Tagus) River as a guardian of these ideas and emotions, noting the importance of the river to the city's history and identity.

Overall, the lyrics convey Mariza's deep love and appreciation for Lisbon, not just as a physical location but as a place of emotion and significance.

@Empanada Queen Bingo! In my opinion Missy was surprised by this killer. I think it's a woman who was clever enough to disguise in tactical gear . I think there's more to this case that people are not seeing / missing
As you mention was Missy seeing someone (I think she was divorced) could the person have been married?
I've read she had several wounds to her chest area and a hammer was found,
I've read she was shot ( which is it?)
It's speculated it was a hit , robbery but if it was a hit I'm guessing the person won't leave evidence lying around to be found
If it was a robbery why kill her? Nothing was missing from the church or Missy
So I speculate the person attack Missy from behind which give the person an advantage ( she was a fitness trainer who would have put up a fight) hence the tactical gear, no fingerprints, no scratches on the person. Clever.
Now I've read there was footage of Missy entering the Church and only footage of the person walking around . I call BS.
Either the person who committed this murder is connected or married to someone with wealth and the footage was doctored OR the police have an idea who the person is but hands are tied
Just my opinion and two cent worth but the public needs to keep pushing for answers hopefully there would be enough pressure to make the killer nervous, something must give.

The person you’re calling “George” did not volunteer to speak at Missy’s funeral. He was asked to work security at her memorial service.

Also, you’re confusing the “dark SUV” report with the silver Nissan Altima seen at SWFA. The dark SUV was alleged to have been spotted at the church, not SWFA.

By the way, SWFA would be a horrible place to wait to test for an alarm at the church. They park facing the front door of the store, while the church is way back behind them. And they sit there for 6 minutes or less, which is not enough time to test for an alarm response. Most likely the store was being considered as a target. The perp only focused on the church after deciding the store was a no-go.

@deathrow1918

So the Nissan is the suspect or what?
So what are you trying to say is that "George" never worked as security at the church!

@GumshoeStories

@handmade MONSTER “George” never had anything to do with Creekside Church. He was on the security staff at Avenue Church. After Missy’s death on Monday there was a memorial service at Creekside on Wednesday. Avenue Church was contacted about making some of their security available, and he was one of them.

@Seekerscrime

Thanks for clearing that up!

@Gumshoe Stories Hi Tim, I have always followed your channel and presentations. The new detective that was assigned, no revelations from the MPD, I guess. It seems that Altima was involved and that it was a man. You still think it was a burglary interrupted? It seems that is what it was. Did her husband watch the video where his wife enters the church and someone online said a doctor or officer saw her on the video, drawing attention to noise. I wonder if her husband was shown that video. The 'fake cop' seems thin by the Dutch door and not so thin in other shots, I guess due to camera angle. Has it been revealed where she was shot? Where did the fake cop make his exit? There was a camper or two waiting in the car or cars and no report of seeing someone coming out the front door by the awning. Do you think the case will be solved? It will be six years in April 2022. Lordan Arts and Armchair Detective do not have any new presentations to keep the case active. Question to you. Someone must be aware of an individual with that gait, but nobody has reported knowing him. Could it be a recluse of a sort? That person is not familiar with the area, it seems. I hope her family is doing well. Thank you for being loyal to the case.

@Miss Annette P Hi Annette. The new folks on the case have worked hard on it over the last year or two. I just don’t think they have much to go on. I do think it was a burglary and the killer was seeking cash, which is why nothing was taken. With no connection to Missy and the killer presumably not talking to anyone, I think the best chance of solving it is if they in fact have some DNA and can narrow things down with genetic genealogy. As for gender, I think it’s just as likely to be a female as a male. It’s a toss-up for me.

Yes, Brandon saw the same footage that the doctor saw, of Missy entering under the awning. She went up the hall to the north side (the opposite end). That’s where she was found. Police have not released where on her body she was shot, other than the very first search warrant stated that she was “deceased from a head wound.” So make of that what you will.

Police said that the killer left presumably the same way he came in, which was thru the kitchen’s metal service door on the north side. He was gone by the time the first camper arrived - police believe Missy was down by 4:20 and the first camper arrived around 4:30. Police said the killer did not go in any other rooms after the murder, so you have to assume after being surprised by Missy and not knowing if anyone else was coming in behind her, he made a beeline for the exit and was gone before 4:30.

As far as your comments about the gait, I don’t find it unusual and so I think police made a mistake to focus on it. Both feet turn out - not just one. So no limp, just two feet turned out and a lot of people walk like that. It’s also possible that the outfit and boots are affecting the walk and that it isn’t the way the killer walks normally.

@Kimvisible

This case is one of the most frustrating to me, I think about it so often. How in the hell do we have this footage and yet the case is stagnant. Similar to Delphi Murders in that regard and it legit drives me nuts we cannot get these cases closed. 😔

@youdontneedtoknow5688

It's exactly like the Delphi murders, video evidence of the murderer and no arrests.

@harriettaking4390

Kimvisible most murders goes unsolved if the person is in high standing or connected to or married to someone of high standing . Evidence is found and covered up

@edyhellen7784

In fact, this story is very important to me because same exact thing happened to my sister. She was a very pretty girl, I miss her a lot..RIP sweetheart ♥️

I suppose they look in family members, they are the ones
