Madre de dioses
Virgen de fuegos sin altares
Ama de hoguera
Dama de lluvia
Dueña de mil puertas sin cerradura
La luna me llama, me aúlla
Diosa sin nombre
Ama con garras
Dama de fieras, cimas y valles
Dama sin dueño
Sueño sin noche
Proa que rompe hielos y mares
La luna me llama, me arrulla
La luna me llama, me acuna
Susurra mi nombre
Me arrulla
La luna me llama, me aúlla
La luna me llama, me aúlla
The song "La Luna" by Marlango speaks of the moon in various personas - a mother goddess, a lady of fire, a lady of rain, a mistress of mystery, and a dream that never sleeps. The lyrics speak of the moon's power to call to us and to cradle us with its light. The moon is depicted as a goddess with claws, mistress of wild animals, mountain peaks and valleys, a ruler of a thousand doors without locks.
The repeated lines "La luna me llama, me arrulla / La luna me llama, me aúlla" translate to "The moon calls me, it soothes me / The moon calls me, it howls at me" in English. This gives the impression that the moon's power is both comforting and haunting; it draws us in with its beauty and mystery, but also has an almost eerie quality to it.
The song "La Luna" speaks of the moon's ability to evoke a wide range of emotions and its connection to the natural world. It is a beautifully written piece that showcases Marlango's ability to imbue a sense of the mystical into its music.
