In 2001, the band regrouped, with guitarist James Valentine added to the line-up, and pursued a new direction under the name: Maroon 5. At this point, Jesse Carmichael switched to playing the keyboards and this has become his main instrument in the band (although he also plays rhythm guitar to this day). After these changes, Maroon 5 signed with Octone Records and released their debut album, "Songs About Jane", in June 2002. The album's lead single "Harder to Breathe", received heavy airplay, which helped the album to debut at number six on the Billboard 200 chart. The band won the Grammy Award for Best New Artist in 2005. For the next few years, the band toured extensively worldwide in support of Songs About Jane and produced two live recordings: 2004's "1.22.03.Acoustic" and 2005's "Live Friday the 13th". In 2006, Ryan Dusick officially left the band after suffering from serious wrist and shoulder injuries and was replaced by Matt Flynn. The band recorded their second album, "It Won't Be Soon Before Long" and released it in May 2007. The album reached number one on the US Billboard 200 chart and the lead single, "Makes Me Wonder", became the band's first number-one song on the Billboard Hot 100.
On September 21, 2010, the band released their third studio album entitled "Hands All Over". It was re-released in 2011 to include the single "Moves like Jagger" (featuring Christina Aguilera). While the original version of the album received mixed reviews, "Moves like Jagger" reached the number one position on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The band released their next album, "Overexposed", on June 26, 2012. All four singles of the album were really successful on the charts - for example, the second single from Overexposed, "One More Night" (released on June 19, 2012), reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100. In 2014, the band signed with Interscope Records and released their fifth studio album, "V", with the very-first line-up of six official band members, as keyboardist and backing vocalist PJ Morton became an official member in 2012. The album debuted at top of the weekly Billboard 200 chart. Since its debut in 2002, the band has sold more than 15 million albums in the United States and over 100 million singles and 27 million albums worldwide.
Until You're Over Me

Though my stomach still hurts
And now I'm gonna live alone
Why is the pain much worse?
You look so much better without makeup
Why would you hide your face?
Don't want to spend the night and wake up
Realize I've made a big mistake
Oh, I cannot refuse your eyes
Please don't look at me tonight
My heart beats fast I know you're there
I pretend like I don't care
It hurts so bad to know the truth
But I am still in love with you
I never meant to keep you waiting
And now your food is getting cold
I keep denying I'm in love with you
My routine is getting old
And now you stand in front of the table
And say you never look back
Do something stupid when you're angry
You only wake up sad
Oh, I cannot refuse your eyes
Please don't look at me tonight
My heart beats fast I know you're there
And I pretend like I don't care
It hurts so bad to know the truth
Well girl, I'm still in love with you
It hurts too much to know the truth
Well girl, I'm still in love with you
No more kisses on your lips or tender touches, please
I'd rather die on my two feet than live down on my knees
And all because you get me opened up and start to bleed
And I just cant get over you and until you're over me
I cannot refuse your eyes
Please don't look at me tonight
My heart beats fast I know you're there
And I pretend like I don't care
And I cannot refuse your eyes
Please don't look at me tonight
My heart beats fast I know you're there
And I'll pretend like I don't care
It hurts so bad to know the truth
Well girl, I'm still in love with you
It hurts too much to know the truth
Well girl, I'm still in love with you
The song "Until You're Over Me" by Maroon 5 is a melancholic tune about a failed relationship that has ended, but the pain still persists. The singer of the song is struggling to move on from the relationship and is experiencing a lot of pain and hurt. The first stanza talks about the end of the relationship, but despite this, the singer's emotions are still very raw. Even though the relationship has ended, the pain is still there, which is unnatural. The next line talks about the singer living alone, which is a reality that needs to be accepted.
The second stanza talks about the hurtful comments that are made in a relationship after a breakup. The singer says they look much better without makeup, but they're hurt that their partner felt the need to hide their face before. The singer is telling their partner that they don't want to spend the night because they don't want to wake up and realize they've made a big mistake. However, at the same time, the singer is still in love with their ex-partner and cannot refuse their eyes. They pretend like they don't care, but the truth is that it hurts so bad to know the truth.
The final stanza talks about the realization that the relationship has ended for good. The singer says that they cannot take any more kisses or tender touches and would rather die standing than living on their knees. The singer concludes that they cannot get over their ex-partner until they're over them.
