Faith
Marsheaux Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
From your deepest fears
Inside your tears
Hide but you can’t get
Away from dread
Inside your head
My own faith
The only way is here
Where you can trust your faith
And it's one way
Faith, you can’t force it
You can taste it
You can trust it
Dreams, behind darkness
It’s time for refresh, nobody is flawless
The lyrics to Marsheaux's song "Faith" convey the idea that it is impossible to hide from one's innermost fears and doubts. The line "Run but you can't hide from your deepest fears" suggests that while one might try to avoid confronting their fears, they will inevitably catch up with them in the end. This theme is reinforced by the line "Hide but you can't get away from dread inside your head," which emphasizes the fact that our thoughts and feelings can be all-consuming if left unaddressed.
However, the chorus of the song offers a glimmer of hope, with the repeated line "My own faith will make me strong." This suggests that by having a strong sense of faith in oneself and one's abilities, it is possible to overcome even the most daunting obstacles. The lyrics also acknowledge that faith is something that cannot be forced - "Faith, you can't force it, you can taste it, you can trust it" - and that we must learn to trust in our dreams, even when they seem obscured by darkness.
Overall, the lyrics to "Faith" offer a message of resilience and hope in the face of life's challenges, urging listeners to have faith in themselves and their ability to overcome adversity.
