Socorro, socorro, socorro, socorro
Robo al silencio el eco de una voz
Y lo reflejo en la brisa de una luz
Canto, ahora soy feliz
Robo a la vida una chispa de amor
Y se me enreda siempre el corazón
Amor pero el amor es raro
Arco iris de sombras
Entonces corro
En el laberinto de los sentimientos
Cayendo en el abismo de las dudas
Corro y resbalo en otra mentira
Y cómo la verdad quedó desnuda
Socorro, socorro, socorro, socorro
The song "Socorro" by Marta Sanchez talks about the struggles and fears of the singer. She seems to feel lost and unsure of herself, as she hides her childhood dreams and deep desires behind excuses. She also describes running from her problems to avoid facing them, even though she knows she is guilty of not living to her full potential. The lyrics reflect a sense of powerlessness and desperation, as she reaches out for help with the repeated plea of "Socorro," which means "help" in Spanish.
The use of metaphors is an important factor in the song. The "rainbow of shadows" symbolizes the singer's inner turmoil and the conflicting emotions she experiences. The line "I steal from silence the echo of a voice" suggests that the singer's fears and worries come from within her, and that she cannot silence the negative voices in her head. The line "I steal from life a spark of love" portrays that the singer feels as if she is always grasping for love and happiness, but it never quite feels within her reach.
Overall, "Socorro" is a contemplative and introspective song that explores the complexities of the human experience. It speaks to anyone who has ever felt lost or alone, and highlights the importance of reaching out for help when you need it.
