Y no exisitir si no me miras tu
Ya ves
A veces me canso de perderte y saber
Guevara para darme la razón
De no verte tendida en mi colchón
Estaremos perdidos
In "Ya Ves" by Marta Sanchez, the artist expresses her weariness with various aspects of life. The first verse shows her fatigue with being a man and constantly hearing that everything is going well, while observing sad men looking southwards. She indicates that without the person she loves, she does not exist. The repetition of "ya ves," meaning "you see," underscores the certainty and frustration behind her words. In the following verse, Sanchez laments the loss of her love and the loneliness they share without their partner. She imagines Che Guevara, a revolutionary figure, supporting her decision not to see her lover's body on her bed.

Ya ves
As you can see
Sometimes I get tired of being a man and also
Me agota escuchar que todo va bien
I am exhausted from hearing that everything is going well
Y ver tristes hombres mirando al sur
And seeing sad men looking southward
Y no existir si no me miras tu
And not existing if you do not look at me
A veces me canso de perderte y saber
Sometimes I get tired of losing you and knowing
That we are alone and it is not going to come back
Guevara para darme la razón
Guevara to give me reason
De no verte tendida en mi colchón
For not seeing you lying on my bed
Y mientras tanto estrépitos de andamios
And meanwhile the noise of scaffolding
Pateras y naufragios desvelan nuestro sueño
Rafts and shipwrecks disturb our dream
And meanwhile if Havana falls today
Who will be our owner tomorrow
Así yo canto para recordar
So I sing to remember
Que sigues a mi lado
That you continue by my side
Que aun sueñas despierta porque así
That you still dream awake because that way
Vencemos el cansancio
We overcome fatigue
Que aun seguimos vivos
That we are still alive
If you don't see beyond your horizon
Estaremos perdidos
We will be lost
Sometimes I get tired of being free, of being
Libre para vendarme y caer
Free to bind and fall
Muerto donde mi libertad prefiera
Dead where my freedom chooses
Siempre al otro lado de tu frontera
Always on the other side of your border
A veces me canso de mi, de no tener
Sometimes I get tired of myself, of not having
Valor para buscarte y cometer
Courage to look for you and commit
Todo delito que este amor exiga
Every crime that this love demands
Quieta ahi, tus labios o la vida
Stay there, your lips or your life
Si arde Lacandona
If Lacandona burns
Si Marcos abandona, quien será nuestro dueño
If Marcos abandons, who will be our owner
