After revealing the selection of Fortune as the new INXS front man, INXS guitarist Tim Farriss offered Casey the job of opening act on INXS's upcoming tour, which Casey accepted. During the tour, Casey and his band released their major label debut, Marty Casey & Lovehammers (released 24 January 2006, through Epic Records). The album could be described as a "best-of" compilation of songs from their previous, indie albums, though songs were chosen largely on the basis of accessiblity and to showcase the band to a more mainstream audience. Though some of the songs were re-recorded and remixed for the major label debut, the album featured only one completely new track. There was some fan criticism that the album was sold as "Marty Casey & Lovehammers" as opposed to just "Lovehammers" but, in general, fans understood that the purpose of the album was to capitalize on Marty's exposure on the TV Show and increase their fan base.
Casey & Lovehammers continue to tour, now as headliners. They are avid fans of the Chicago White Sox, and were particularly excited to be asked to play before some of the games in 2005 and 2006.
The Tunnel

Wait for me
And I'll be coming home soon
And when you cry your eyes I'll remember
Stare at me
I can hypnotize you
Keep calling
Keep calling, keep calling, keep calling
I will stay true
Keep calling, keep calling, keep calling
Till I find you
And the distance has been murder
On my mind
Can't see you with my own eyes
If you decide to get with another
Remember who
I'm the one that loves you
Always
Keep calling, keep calling, keep calling
I will stay true
Keep calling, keep calling, keep calling
Till I find you
Keep calling, keep calling, keep calling
Can you hear me
Keep calling, keep calling, keep calling
'Cause you're disappearing
If I could just go back
One more time
I'd hold on and never let go
Just go back
One more time
I'd never let, never let you go
And there's a light at the end of the tunnel
Wait for me
And I'll be coming home soon
You have to die to get discovered
Peek-a-boo
I see you through the exit wound
Keep calling
Keep calling, keep calling, keep calling
I will stay true
Keep calling, keep calling, keep calling
Till I find you
Keep calling, keep calling, keep calling
Can you hear me
Keep calling, keep calling, keep calling
'Cause you're disappearing
Well I found your hiding places
In the bedroom, in the basement
Like a scared child under the blankets
No one knows you like I know you
They'll try to control you like I told you
They'll try to control you
No, no, no, no!
The song “Tunnel” by Marty Casey & Lovehammers is a powerful ballad about the struggle of being separated from someone dear, but always remaining faithful and committed to that person. The song's tone may be slightly mournful, but the lyrics suggest an overlying sense of hopefulness and love that comes from never giving up on finding that one special person. The song's chorus clearly communicates the message of being committed to a relationship and remaining true until they can be together again. “There's a light at the end of the tunnel, wait for me, and I'll be coming home soon” is a refrain that conveys the idea that no matter the distance or what may happen, the singer will always remain steadfast and true to their love.
Throughout the song's lyrics, there's a touching sense of longing and never giving up on hope. The lines “Keep calling, keep calling, keep calling I will stay true" reinforce the idea that we must never stop reaching out to those we love but may be separated from. The verse “You have to die to get discovered, Peek-a-boo, I see you through the exit wound, Keep calling" is a clever metaphor that suggests that sometimes we can't find something until we lose it, but we must be patient and keep looking until we do.
In conclusion, “Tunnel” by Marty Casey & Lovehammers is a song of devotion and perseverance that captures the courage and determination a person in love truly has. Despite being apart from each other, the singer encourages their love to keep holding on, keep calling, and keep searching because, in the end, they will discover the light at the end of the tunnel where they will once again be together.
