The scream of the Asari and watching Thessia burn made my heart crack. One of the few times you see Shepard truly defeated. And it makes it all the better when you decide to hit Cerberus where they live before they strike again.

The fight with Kai Leng was just the worst.
From Gunship Ex Machinca to him suddenly gaining cut scene powers and plunges his only weapon into the ground, then runs at your squadmates which somehow causes Liara, by this point shown to be a pretty competent combatant miss him like 8 times and your other squadmate who is either the best sniper in the galaxy, a dude built like a tank, the Prothean embodiment of vengeance, a friggin robot whom the body itself was pretty durable back on Mars) become completely incompetent in front of him....
Gimme a break.
Shepard could easily have taken down that gunship even with the stupid light. And you take down his shields quickly enough Leng's a deadman except for his stupid plot armor.

Was playing a vanguard my first playthrough, dude couldn't break my barriers and had his shield regen constantly. I felt completely overpowered in-gameplay and completely underpowered in the game.

That moment when you stand there, see Thessia being destroyed, hear the Asari screaming and you can't do anything about that... Litterally NOTHING!
Saddest moment in videogame history ever.

This was as sad and depressing as that scene where the Order 66 was executed in Star Wars.
I will never forget those two moments. :'(

And Shepard has such a hard time dealing with it. I guess although I never realized it, Shepard is probably quite a bit of a perfectionist. Either that or the pressure of the ENTIRE galaxy depending on them is getting to them and this is a huge fail where an entire planet goes down in front of their eyes...I never understood why Shep took it so hard and personal. I mean Kai Leng had a gunship, he cheated. And she/he survived.

I think that's how a lot of of us felt when we saw Kai Leng run off with was essentially an "I Win" bomb, Shepard fall and the Asari die as Reapers landed on Thessia in full force. It was like the end of the Empire Strikes Back.

It seems that this song tries to tell the players that there is no hope. However the song Stand Strong, Stand Together transmits the message to the players there is still hope, reminding them of epic speeches of Kirrahe and Hackett. (I will put here only Kirrahe speech, which is the shortest) Kirrahe: In ME1, to stop Saren, we held the line. In ME2, we destroyed the Collectors, we held the line. And today, we will retake ME3! @zuser you can only survive if you go with destroying synthetics, AND have reaaaallly high war assets. What makes having high assets different is after all the mass relay blowing up stuff, you see your body, and you take a breath, showing you live.

in the Codex though, it said that it could take fire from 2 dreadnaughts with significant strain, a third and the shields fail. Compare that to the weapons Reapers were using and you can see that lasers will cut through ships far faster than kinetic weapons can punch through shields

For the record, I have played all three. I've been an ME fan since the first game and am currently replaying the entire series with a new renegade character. In my experience its been the opposite. While this is anecdotal, most people I know who've been following the series responded more positively than "fans" who only picked up game three. I personally, thought the ending offered some interesting choices. Although I did not realize that Bioware had announced a new DLC to alter the ending?

for those wondering when this plays, it plays on Thessia when Kei Leng kicks your butt, takes the Prothean V.I., and Thessia gets Reaper-fied. also, the first 40 or so seconds plays whenever Kei LEng appears.

It takes apparently 3 to 4 Dreds to kill a Sovereign class Reaper, for people on the ground would've been almost impossible without some kind of constant heavy cannon till Reapers shields drop, but if we are talking a destroyer than their chances might be 50/50, but if Sovy class, complicated.

From all factors from the major plot holes to the extreme random endings, it's pretty obvious the whole scenario after the laser blast was a surreal environment within Shepard's mind. Thats why Shepard is still alive within LONDON(evident to sky/concrete), Anderson's armor was in pristine condition, and the catalyst was the boy.

what choices did it offer, ok Sovreign and harbinger kinda "hinted" at the god childs preservation of life thingy a few times, and most of your choices are reflected upon during #3 but what happened with the stuff we did from 2? Jack?Collector base? did u sell legion or activate him? Grunt? Morinth? a generic enemy with their name? I understand that they wanted to have a sence of desparation trough the game and i think it was well executed but at the end, you basicly destroy galactic Society...

I don't understand why everyone hates the ending to this series. I am not going to say I love it but when I (Eve Shepard) sat on the ground dying with (my most loved character in the whole game) Anderson, I be came attached. I wasn't going to stop, I had no control over any of the events that followed. I am not a critic so I have no negatives about the first ending or Indoctrination theory, because get this.. I DIED. I sacrificed myself for future kind. Role-playing always involves the player

@mistman117 I don't really like that idea, because someone still has to up to the Citadel and flip the switch. If it is truly indoctrination and Shep still has a war to fight then we should see the REAL ending. Not just Shepard's resistance to Indoctrination. Perhaps Bioware should leave that in and if you pick the correct ending (green I think?) you continue. Also if the Reapers occupied other Galaxies, they could keep the ME universe alive for a very long time (as opposed to Relays destroyed).

Hopefully when Bioware releases DLC for ME3,it doesnt change the endings, just shows what happens after the endings and explains WHY THE FUCK THE NORMANDY TRIED TO ESCAPE A BEAM WHICH ISNT SUPPOSED TO HARM THEM!!! Ok Im actually not that angry. I thoroughly enjoyed most moments in ME3, and it is the first game where I have been so emotionaly involved and shed so many tears. I would hope they don't change it entirely. I would lose a lot of respect for Bioware if they, they should at least be able to stand by their own ideas. If they expanded it or explained it, I think that would be good. Because the ending we have now did throw in some interesting details. Like the Synthesis ending, I'd like to see the outcome of that one.

Bioware fucked up, they should be the ones adding this theory at the end of the game, but they didn't so even if the "Shepard is indoctrinated/hallucinating" theory sounds x1000 times better than Bioware's ending, it doesn't change the fact that Bioware didn't did that... It's got good points, it would be an amazing ending, it makes looot more sense than anything bioware planned, but....
