Well.... Here I am.... Once again.

Just finished the whole thing for the 7th time.... Now with DLCs tho, in Legendary Edition....

Might be the last time i play it, at least until i have kids....

You know... We all talk how we want to forget all and feel this adventure once again... But I just felt the bittersweetness of finishing ME like the first time this time, maybe even greater now... The feeling of leaving all those good friends, loves, and memories behind but still in your heart.... It never hit as hard as tonight when i finaly ended the trilogy for the 7th time.....

This is the game that marked me the most, no doubt, and fuck i played a shitton of games ever since i was 6...

At least now I'm old enough to enjoy the bittersweetness of feelings turning to memories instead of breaking down like i did the first time ME3 credits rolled...

Just thinking aloud, not trying to make a point or motivate anyone with my speech.... I... Just really fucking love this saga......

Right now I am 10 hrs into Mass Effect 2 on my 9th playthrough of the Trilogy. And it is still amazing.

I can see myself reloading this trilogy every year or two for decades. To remember Liara, Tali, Anderson, Wrex, Garrus, Samara, Ash, Grunt, ... All of them.

I just realised that Liara is 109 in ME3, that's not even one quarter of her lifespan. Wrex is definitely beyond half of his lifespan which is similar to an asari's. That means Liara will outlive every other original squadmate. She'll witness Shepard's death, Joker's, Kaidan's, Tali's, Garrus', Wrex's. Grunt was bred full grown, who knows how long he has to live. But nonetheless, Liara and Grunt will be the last ones in the team to go. It's sad, really.

+Divine TheMusicianGamer Shepard didn't die type in mass effect indoctrination theory I found some proof that the hole thing in the end when he actually gets on the citidel is actually in his mind to see if he gives into the reaper because in his dream he keeps seeing the kid but the kid was never there in the begging in mess effect 2 in a dlc he touched a reaper articifact and the collector becon would have started it but Shepard's will was strong enough to hold on until he saw earth being invaded and remembering all the losses

The scene where Shep's chest rises among the rubble is available since the game's release and only if you have 5000 EMS (or 4000 and Anderson is not killed by TIM).

The indoctrination theory was never confimred by BioWare, we shouldn't tconsider it canon, in my opinion, the Citadel part in the end was mostly an illusion but the fact Shepard activated the Crucible stays.

Liara will not be in Andromeda. Her appearance ruin the game to be honest. ME Andromeda will not have a save import feature, Liara can die in ME3 and there are players who didn't romance her. It'd be best if Andromeda featured completely new characters without forcibly adding characters from the previous games.

i for one never bought into the indoctrination theory. Agree it is not canon with BW and they have said as much from what i read. Shepards true threat to the Reapers was that fact and I think they knew it. Her will was just too strong. If you read about Grayson, even he resisted when he focused, despite being tortured, redsanded, food and sleep deprivation etc...yes Asari outlive most other species and i think that hit liara hard in ME3 when she talks to Shepard. So for me, I always destroy the Reapers and Shepard lives..I have the feeling BW may give us a fourth ME with Shepard (giggidy)! its a dream i know but lets keep it alive!

i feel sincerely bad for anyone who hasn't experienced mass effect. this game is what confirms that video games are indeed art. I can't recall any other time when I've experienced something of such emotional, or intellectual resonance. mass effect is something that anyone with basic imagination can enjoy. why play shallow, boring games like battlefield, when with mass effect, you will be plunged head-first, into a world that i guarantee will leave a permanent impact on you, a lasting impression that you might truly never forget. mass effect needs to stay around for ever.

Greg Hanks i wish i hadn't tried the last of us, so i could've done the whole game all in one session. i got about 35% through it on a buddy's console, and now almost all emotional buildup is gone

but yeah, its a good one. the best 15 minutes ever just in the intro.

My internet had stopped working and was not gonna be up for days. That is when I decided to play the Mass Effect series. And I am very glad that I started from the 1st part. I was hooked and Mass Effect was all I did all day long.

Wake up, Mass Effect, Sleep. Repeat.

Completed ME1, got to ME2 and then ME3.

When I was done with the series, I felt like my life had no purpose. I was so engulfed into the universe of Mass Effect and so much connected to the characters in the game that my real life seemed trivial and unimportant. I wished that I could somehow be taken to their universe. This was the only game that made me forget the real world completely and made me fall in love with this imaginary world. No game has ever matched this series for me.

+zZE94 I also had this "my life has 0 value" feeling after beating the saga. It wasn't even a month ago but I still feel empty. This game gave me a lot of good memories and I miss it.
But I can't play them again. I know myself well enough, I'll get bored because ME1 gameplay/design is boring, ME2 has nice characters over a very (too much) linear story arc and ME3 is a lot too fresh.
I did like how it ended (Destroy is really the canon way to go) and I just wish I could live in this utopic world (humanized aliens). I just found that the closest thing to the Mass Effect space opera lore is Futurama LMAO

congokong87 Well, I have to admit....I really liked that ME gameplay I mean not the combat, that was quite terrible when it's compared to it's sequels, but I loved the inventory, power system was acceptable too.... ME2/ME3 are more like action/shooter games when compared to ME1, but story/dialogues stayed the same and thats what I care about. RPG or more like shooter...I don't care. Every single game from the trilogy took me on a feels trip and that games like CoD can only dream about :)

I avoided Mass Effect for the longest time. But then I played it for the first time two years ago, and it was unlike anything I ever experienced, and it completely replaced my then-current video game obsession. I was a die-hard, no retreat Fallout fan, and then I experienced the trilogy of Mass Effect, and I realized there was no turning back from this experience, from the relationships that I formed. Nothing since has measured up to this. I know it my be just a video game, but deep inside, this world, this Mass Effect, means so much to me, and inspires in me to be better than I was. May it never be forgotten.

I finished the trilogy for the first time during the Covid-19 pandemic, the first game was great for a 2007 game (I was born in 2005 so the graphics looked strange to me), the second game was insane, I romanced Tali and lost Miranda, and I don't have any words for the third game, I just loved it, it is my favourite game of all time.

You know how everyone has that one song... that one piece of music that every time you hear it you stop everything you're doing just to listen to it because you just find it SO beautiful and it just fills you with so many emotions. Emotions that make you sad and happy all at the same time. Happy that it happened and for all the fond memories that are associated with it and also sad because it's over and we never got a truly happy ending to it and so many of those characters that we grew to absolutely love will probably never be heard from again. That piece of music that is just so much more that just some notes on a piece of paper but is instead pure emotion made into sound. This piece of music is that for me. I will always love the original trilogy and all the characters that came with it and I will always mourn the ending and the fact that we never got to build a house with Tali or have little blue children with Liara or any of those other beautiful things. This is not music. This is joy and sorrow. This is all of those wonderful and sad memories. This is pure emotion and passion. This. Is. Art.

No offence but out of what I've heard and seen from the other people only hate on the ending because of how it looks not what it represents. Mass effect has always been about it's story so why do people complain about the colors. In a book an ending like this would never be hated in the same way because people can visualize it themselves. And complaining on plotholes is just dumb, there are plotholes in every game, movie and series that exist, maybe not EVERY but almost. And the extended ending removed many of the plotholes. From a story perspective the ending is really good. Now ofcourse this is just my opinion.

This tune only brings out some incredibly sensitive feelings about my past. I don't know what they are, it's uncertainty at extreme. There is something in Liara's voice, the way she speaks to all the characters but especially Shepard, and I can't exactly put my finger on what this is but she just radiates love and deep care, every time she says "hello, Shepard" she has me melting.

I remember it vividly. In a very bad life situation, with an old rusty PC. I found this odd game that was not popular at all and just installed it to see if my system can handle it. After that I lost count of how many times I got goose bumps and how many times I cried and how many times I lost touch with what is real and what is not.
I wondered about it for a long time why until I got the last piece of the game and in the end got the dev mail on a pad and I knew for sure that every single person working on this has put their heart on it and it was a work of passion and emtion and love. Let's not be stupid. love or whatever that thing inside of us IS does really conqure all. I have lived, breathed and died in that universe. I fell in love with my special someone and my friends. I fought even though the higher thinking of the machines were not totally about A is bad B is good but I dont want to get into the philosophical aspects of the lore. But They take it away from us. EA, took it away from all of us. I really want them back. I miss them from the moment I lost them and will keep on missing them. Joker, EDI, Liara, Ash, Jacob, Tali, Wrex, Anderson, Hackett, damn it all of them. Hat's off to all who were involved in this game and Casey Hudson whom I believe has a huge heart.

Can't believe all those years when I saw this game mentioned, my mind just thought about a stupid alien game but when I actually played it... I don't have any words to describe how i am feeling. I have just started me3 and I know what's going to happen but I just want to travel back to the past so I can experience this feeling again and again and again...

3 is my favourite of the 3. Make sure you get all the dlc it's some of the best content in the game :) and never forget the extended cut

I don't care what anyone says, IMO, Liara will always be the canon romance. The way they crafted the story of Shepard and Liara throughout the three games was so well done. Thanks to the happy ending mod, Liara and Shepard are hanging out on some remote planet in the Cosmos somewhere with a few blue kids and nothing but time.

No game has ever made me dream to be able to explore the stars like Mass Effect has. Listening to this makes me want to quit my job, leave everything behind and see what is out there. Unfortunately that will never come to fruition in my lifetime, and I think thats what make's me even more sad.

i miss them, all of them. liara, garrus, joker, tali, edi, wrex... everyone. i failed mass effect 3. and i failed them all. but one day, i will come back and repair what i ruined. they will live. earth will live.

what i meant here, is that this soundtrack and this game trilogy is so amazing and emotional, you feel like you really are in this story by yourself. this game is a living proof, that video games can be a real piece of modern art <3

once again, i miss you, team normandy. i failed you once, but i wont fail you again. now, it's time to replay the trilogy!

There something about Mass Effect that elevates it above the rest. The crewmates felt like actual people and not NPCs, you know? I've only felt that with the gang in RDR2 and Geralt's closest friends in Witcher 3.

Mass Effect is truly one of those games designed to be replayable. Ill never regret a playthrough and every experience is memorable. Its one of those special series where the developers really really cared and gave it their all even when the corpos threw bullshit demands at them.

I am so excited for my journey through Mass Effect to begin. The countless scores or poetic moving music and the comments I read and videos I watch make this the most alluring game. I cannot wait to play it I am stoked to look forward to this adventure. I am going to buy a 60 inch HD and surround sound before I start it tho. I'm in no rush to ruin this build up.

Man, I wish I could forget the whole trilogy, just so I could get that feeling of playing it all for the first time again! And no matter what you hear about the ending of ME3, don't listen to people - finish the game and form your own opinions.
Just a few tips I've got DLC-wise for your first run, assuming you have all the major story DLC:
1. Do not do Arrival until after you've finished ME2. It fits much better into the plot after the game's ending.
2. Do not do Leviathan and Citadel until you're close to the end of ME3.
All the others you can do whenever, they don't really interact with the main plot as much.
I hope you enjoy your magical journey as much as I did the first time!

cvrc11 Leviathan was actually intended to be an earlier game storyline. But don't do Citadel until you're near the end of the game and have done all the character side missions

Всегда было приятно слушать эту музыку на фоне, а ещё приятнее было наблюдать за романтическим общением персонажей. Всё так идеально сочетается.. Что с Лиарой, что с Тали, было так приятно наблюдать все эти трогательные сцены под эту красивую музыку. Такое ощущение что смотришь фильм про космическую драму, но это не фильм и ты сам решаешь что будет с персонажами. За столь детальный сюжет я ОБОЖАЮ Mass Effect. Лучшее в плане сюжета которое я проходил за всю жизнь играя в игры
