Sly
Massive Attack Lyrics

I try to believe what I feel these days
It makes life much easier for me
It's hard to decide what is real these days
When things look so dizzy to me

I already know my children's children's faces
Voices that I've heard before
There's always more
There's always more
Wandering leaving the sea behind
To my home which everybody owns
Wandering, wandering
Where we can do what we please
Wandering

I feel like a thousand years have passed
I'm younger than I used to be
I feel like the world is my home at last
I know everyone that I meet

Somewhere in the music I can hear the bells
I heard a thousand years before
There's always more
There's always more

Wandering is this there all there is
Since I was since I began to be
Wandering, wandering
Where we can do what we please
Wandering

It makes life much easier for me
It's hard to decide what is real these days
When things look so dizzy to me

[Verse 2]
I already know my children's children's faces

Wondering, wondering
Where we can do what we please
Wondering

I agree in general but it's only the contrast growing between music for the masses and music for "educated" ears. In the 80's, 90's music for the masses still was enjoyable, even if we talk about a Dr. Alban - Sing Halleluja but you can pick any title from that time, they are simply GOOD. Whereas today the masses can only "enjoy" trash and shit from the mainstream media. BUT if you look around and dig deeper, you find new emerging talents like never before, producers who bring back the good old sounds and mix it with some flavours of nowadays. And the result is perfect. Some examples below from this century:
Deniz Bul - Awake: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jpw-7TPASfo
Thievery Corporation - Letter to the Editor: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KahPH6oc12I
Jerome Isma Ae - Underwater love: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4TINBQPpVi0
Vaun - Listen: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ihtQNR4gAQ
Leon Switch - Overlook: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XG4aYV1H-ZU
Mark Knopfler - Boom, like that: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0sYK2RwH5E8
Jean Michel Jarre - Oxygene 17: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9WUoT6GVtXI
Selah Sue - Reason: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oS8fME2DrSs
Or alone the Blade Runner 2049 movie soundtrack, omg ..

The year was 1994...when Mtv played good music. I was 15 and got hooked on those new sounds. Massive Attack, Tricky, Portishead etc... What an era.

@Akhnaten "..."Blue Lines" introduce un nuovo genere musicale, inizialmente chiamato "Bristol sound" ed etichettato in seguito come "trip hop", etichetta che i Massive Attack NON hanno mai gradito..." ("Massive Attack" on Italian Wikipedia).
