Master's Hammer Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Poslední západ slunce promítá krvavé stíny
Obrazy z druhého břehu na stěně pohyblivé,
úzkost podřizují hněvu,
Elementálové!
"Otče, proč jsi mě opustil?"
"Protože víra tvá je silnější než já!"
"Já vím, už tě nepotřebuji, geniové bez pohřbu vcházejí."
Kam mají přístup jen zemřelí vedeni zákonem vítězství,
Nečekat, co "osud" nadělí.
Na nás už neplatí terror anděla sebeklamu,
Leviathan otvírá svoji tlamu!
The lyrics to Master's Hammer's song "Rituál" convey a sense of existential dread and questioning of faith. The opening lines suggest that the singer is experiencing their past life in a state of mortal agony, perhaps reflecting on past regrets or missed opportunities. The image of the last sunset casting bloody shadows creates a foreboding atmosphere, and the moving images of the other shore intensify the sense of unease. The elemental beings that are mentioned seem to embody this anxiety and feed off of it.
The next lines include a conversation between a father and child, with the child asking why the father has abandoned them. The father responds that the child's faith is stronger than he is. The child then declares that they no longer need the father, and the geniuses without a burial enter. This can be interpreted as a rejection of traditional religious beliefs, as the child no longer needs their father (god) and the geniuses (perhaps representing secular thinkers) are able to enter without the constraint of religious dogma.
The final lines speak of entering a realm of terrifying mysteries accessible only to the dead, governed by the law of victory. The singer rejects waiting for fate to dictate their actions and dismisses the self-deception of the angel of terror. The Leviathan, a mythological sea monster, opens its jaws. This could signify the moment of death or of relinquishing control to the unknown, with the Leviathan representing the unknown force that awaits beyond life.

Great, unique sound. I love bands who are not afraid to experiment - especially when they pull off something as amazing as this.

Master's Hammer are true LEGENDS and Metal MASTERS! I've loved this band since the first moment that I heard them ,years ago. Their use of "exotic" instrumentation, like the timpani, has been done to perfection (very reminiscent of "Innocence and Wrath" by Celtic Frost,no doubt one of MH's biggest early inluences!) over their entire career. Very tasteful and very capable with the classical elements!
