Easy To Lie
Masters Apprentices Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Wake up to yourself before you die
The truth is hard but it′s easy to lie
I can't tell ya how to get it on
It′s in your head long before your born

I guess it's all a matter of time
To find the answer's in your mind
One day you′ll quickly realise
That the future′s right before your eyes

We could be so much closer today
It's not our fault things have happened that way

We live in a world of darkness and sorrow
Now we′ll find a new life starting tomorrow

One of the best obscure heavy metal tracks of the 70s.

@TIBVR

just because its heavy doesn't mean its metal

RIP Jim Keays, a legend of Australian Rock.

@TheBeatles..

The Masters were appearing on the ABC TV GTK (Aussie music show) in early 1970's - however this clip never went to air on the show. One of the nameless camera blokes thought it would be an interesting and offbeat angle to get Jim to stand up in front of a set piece, take his shirt off and film him miming “Easy to Lie”.

@jonsilence

This is SO over the top!!!! Fucking GREAT!!!!! The guitar...the 60s-70s activist mural...Keays' psychosexualfreaky delivery.....redefines 'wicked cool' and reaches sublime heights!
