My ears perceived the sound of the ocean's water being emptied out and drained away, as if by some great force or power

Nothing that I could ever tame
I realized that no matter how hard I try, there are some things in life that will always defy my control and remain wild and untamed

I acknowledge that there may be consequences or risks involved in my actions, but I am willing to proceed with them nonetheless

I have the right to decide
I believe that I have the freedom and authority to make my own choices and decisions, without interference or coercion from others

I'll bring this light, as is the sky
I will share my own unique perspective and illuminate the world with my thoughts and experiences, just as the sky itself brings a distinct brightness

Altered minds they criticize
There are those who disapprove or reject my ideas or actions simply because they come from a different or unconventional frame of mind

Unrest within your flesh
There is a sense of unease, discomfort, or agitation that exists within one's bodily being

How can we stop this pollution?
We are perplexed and searching for solutions to prevent or mitigate the harmful effects of pollution on the environment and human health

Altering trouble, you cannot fix
Attempting to modify or change a difficult situation may only exacerbate the problem, rather than resolving it entirely

Envy of others never makes me rich
Coveting or desiring what someone else has will not bring me true wealth or happiness, and may in fact cause me to feel more lacking or empty

All my heroes, they're all dead
The individuals I have greatly admired or looked up to in my life have all passed away and are now gone from this world

I remain here inside my
Despite the loss of others and the difficulties I face in life, I am still present and existing within my own identity and consciousness

We have heard the chimes at midnight
We have received or experienced a warning sign or signal, perhaps indicating that something significant or transformative is about to occur

Into the void I go
I am embarking on a journey into a vast or unknown space, full of potential dangers or mysteries

Will I ever see your face again
I am uncertain or doubtful about whether or not I will have the opportunity to cross paths with someone or something again

Or will blank be all I know
It is possible that my future scenarios or outcomes will be completely undefined or unclear, leaving me with a sense of emptiness or confusion

Arriving inside
I am arriving or entering into a new environment or situation, quite possibly within myself or my own psyche

Ire hurts a life
Anger or frustration can be very damaging or harmful to a person's wellbeing or quality of life

And the darkness here is grim
The darkness or negative aspects of a particular situation or circumstance are especially harsh or difficult to deal with

But it found us, surrounded
We have become trapped or engulfed by the negative aspects or consequences of a decision or action, with no clear escape route

Lead me deep into the canyon
Guide me through a rugged or challenging terrain, with the objective of reaching a specific goal or destination

You push your guidance in the wrong hands
The guidance or expertise being offered by someone else is misguided or inappropriate for the situation at hand

Feet ungrounded, giving your best
Despite feeling uncertain or unbalanced, I am still attempting to offer my fullest effort and commitment to a task or project

Enjoy the fruits of your labor or success, but do so with a sense of humbleness and calmness rather than boastfulness or arrogance

You have made a firm decision or chosen a side, while also preparing or steeling yourself for the potential challenges or pushback that will arise

The harshness or difficulty of the situation we are in seems to have no end or relief in sight
