This came out the summer I turned 15. I heard it on the radio and couldn't get enough of it then. It always brought me a wave of happiness whenever I heard it. I went through a lot during my teenage years. I was isolated, depressed, being neglected and abused from the people I lived with. I had no one to turn to but my music. I saw Mat in concert this past April and cried the whole time he played it. Looking back now, I wish I could tell my teenage self alone and crying in her room, "we're gonna get there soon." Don't give up. It gets better.

I saw him back in 2004 at Six Flags California we walked around together in a group of 6 and only 20 people were at his show on a mini stage playing by himself with a guitar. He has come so far! Good job buddy!
