The lyrics of "Laat Het Los" by Mathilde Santing talk about the importance of letting go and moving on from the past. The song encourages the listener to embrace a new future by walking away from their troubled past. In the first verse, the singer urges the listener to let go and not to look back. She advises that they should not waste their time staring at past mistakes or misfortunes. Instead, they should focus on the present and how they can shape their future.
The second verse of the song talks more about relationships and love. The singer advises the listener not to let go of love so quickly. She warns that if they continue to stare at the burning ship, they will lose the love they have. Instead, they should take a deep breath, let go of unrequited love and let what's meant to be, be.
In the last verse, the singer encourages the listener not to be weighed down by loneliness but to fight alongside time. She urges them to open their heart to new beginnings and opportunities. They should not be afraid to explore new things that can help them find meaning and purpose in life. The song is an inspiring reminder that people should not allow the past to hold them back but to always look forward to what can be.
