Hoping that mankind will stop abusing her, sometime.
Eagerly anticipating the day when humans start treating the earth better and refrain from engaging in activities that harm it.

After all there's only just the two of us.
Acknowledging that at the core of things, only two things are important in this world - humans and the earth.

And here we are still fighting for our lives.
Stating that humankind still has a lot to deal with in terms of staying alive on this planet.

Watching all of history repeat itself, time after time.
Observing the same destructive events occurring repeatedly throughout history.
