He has since launched another album, Beautiful News, and continues to write many more popular songs such as You Never Let Go and Shine.
Songfacts states that Redman's eighth album 10,000 Reasons, was co-written with several of his friends. He then recorded the songs live in Atlanta, leading worship for over 1,000 worship leaders during LIFT: A Worship Leader Collective, put on by Passion City Church and sixstepsrecords on February 18 and 19, 2011. It sold nearly 7,000 units its first week in the US, almost doubling Redman's previous album release We Shall Not Be Shaken. The LP entered the Billboard 200 at #66, his biggest debut to date.
Take It To The Streets

Wrapped Your truth around me
I am not a stranger to grace
I have seen it in Your face
I am not a stranger to kindness
We're the broken with Your life inside us
You have brought Your gospel to me
How did I become Your miracle?
Now to take Your truth and tell the world
I'm going to take it to the streets
I'm going to sing it 'til we meet
Heaven is open
Come on all the earth rejoice
I'm going to take it to the streets
Wake up the dead heart from its sleep
Heaven is open
Now's the time to raise our voice
I will tell the world of this mercy, for You found me
Wrapped Your truth around me
I will tell the world of this grace
I have seen it at Your cross
I will tell the world of this kindness
We're the broken with Your life inside us
You have brought Your gospel to me
Help me live it every day
How did we become Your miracles?
Now to take Your truth and tell the world
The lyrics of Matt Redman's "Take It To The Streets" are about someone who has experienced God's mercy, grace, and kindness in their life. The singer declares that they are not a stranger to these things because God has found them and wrapped His truth around them. They go on to say that they have seen God's grace and kindness in His face and in the life of those around them. Now, the singer feels that it is their responsibility to share this truth with others, to take it to the streets and tell the world of God's mercy, grace, and kindness.
The singer acknowledges that they themselves are a miracle of God's grace and wonders how they can keep God's truth to themselves. They are compelled to take this message to the streets, to sing it until they meet others who want to hear it. The singer encourages others to join them in rejoicing, to wake up from their spiritual slumber and raise their voices in praise of God.
The song's message is clear: when you have experienced God's mercy, grace, and kindness, you cannot keep it to yourself. It is a message that needs to be shared with the world. The song is an invitation to others to join in the journey and to share in the joy of God's love.
