Their productions rate highly amoungst the worldβs DJ elite β Sasha, Cattaneo, Warren, Van Dyk et.al. with many of their tracks featuring on quality compilations.
Hailing from Australiaβs capital Canberra, James Cayzerβs musical pedigree extends way back to his early years as a concert pianist and composer. However at the tender age of 14, Jimbo commenced work on his first digital production and hasnβt looked back since. After the initial success of βMusic 101β and his remix of Lensβ βLet The Light Inβ, Jaytech shot to prominence with the release of βIdentify Meβ in 2004, appearing in the Ministry Of Soundβs 2005 Annual.
Meanwhile, Sydney resident Matt Rowan cut his teeth on the decks at a variety of clubs with his first residency in 1998. Honing his skills and refining his sound to the funky/proggy bass driven sound that he has become synonymous with, Matt turned to production work at the start of 2005 with his debut release βThe Cruzer EPβ coming out later that year to critical acclaim.
However it wasnβt until October 2005 that the pair hooked up for their first collaboration β Tomorrow/Blaze which was subsequently signed to Hope Recordings and then appeared on Dave Seamanβs Masters Series. Since then the duo have moved from strength to strength to become some of the most sought after remixers with an already impressive back catalogue and plenty more works on the way. 2006 will see their remix of Narek and Danny Bulloβs βI Need Somebodyβ appear on Sandra Collinsβ Perfecto release as well as further releases on Hope, Proton, Influx Audio and Red Seven Records.
Sharing similar musical tastes and ideas, Matt Rowan and Jaytechβs own blend of funk fueled techyness, with driving bass lines, rich pads and warm melodies is unique in todayβs scene and thoroughly dance floor friendly.
