His solo career has met with continued success, with the release of Avalanche on March 4, 2003. He followed that up on June 15, 2004 with White Light Rock and Roll Review, and on September 20, 2005 with In a Coma, a best-of documenting his musical career from 1995-2005. On July 31, 2007, he released his third album, entitled Hospital Music. The album consisted of 15 tracks, and is a deviation from the other albums in that this album is completely personal. Matthew Good's fourth album came out on October 6, 2009 and was entitled "Vancouver". The album, is a concept album and deals with Good's reflections of his hometown of Vancouver, and won him Best Rock Album at the Junos. Good also released a live album in the autumn of 2008. It contained live recordings from his concert at Massey Hall in Toronto on May 29, 2008. Lights of Endangered Species, released May 31, 2011, was Good's fifth studio album and was nominated for Rock Album of the Year at the 2012 Juno Awards.

Good is a strong advocate for human rights, and is affiliated with Amnesty International.

He has also released a book entitled "At Last There Is Nothing Left to Say," consisting of a series of blog entries and manifestos he posted on Matthew Good Band's website before the band disbanded. As well as being a testament to why he continues to have a solid and devoted fan-base, the work showcases Matt's unique perspective, and the creative mind that is the source of his success.

@@HallyVee IN Canada we have a pm still threatening lockdowns unless we get 80 to 90% vacs even though it's super commonly known in the rest of the world that the vacs doesn't prevent transmission nor was it ever designed to. To be charitable to Matthew Good, he could've just been warped by government funded propaganda. Canadians know less because our country has state controlled media. To some extent people are morally innocent but only like the Germans were in 1930s . Their leader bribed the media to lie for him just like Canada. Matthew Good would've been an anti semite in sth 1930s but only because the government was openly manipulating him to carry those views. Fear was almost injected into him because he's a beneficiary of the CRTC so he probably had to swallow a lot of the koolaid. People that get grants are bought off the easiest. Years later he may understand he was fighting FOR fasc;sm. People don't realize we're a facs;st country now under the WEF. They don't understand what the word, fasc;st means so they act that way because it's in human nature to obey the authorities and be attracted to simple authoritarian solutions. I hope he eventually sees his way though it. People like Neil Young who had a free speech tour once and an anti bio-tech album are now staunch supporters of censorship, ESG scores and big pharma. They don't realize they are switching sides because they don't realize the sides switched on them. THey're still in the 1990s and they never really thought hard enough to have actual principles.

Reading all the comments here, most people are familiar with this song because of its use in a TV show... a lot of Smallville comments, and some from Flashpoint... I hope you guys check out the rest of this man's work... one of the best Canadian musical artists of the 90's during the Alt rock scene in a band and still plugging away with solo work to this day.

never get tired of hearing these song asthey have thier own meanings and feelings but also have great memories of the show attached.
'Exodus'
all thesongs seemed to have the right emotions forthe scene at hand which is a lot ofsongs and scenes to get right. Something ifeel doesnt happen often enough if at all these days.

My memories of this aren't because of Smallville I didn't watch sorry guys. I just remember one night probably before dinner messing on my comp wanting to listen to music so I channel surfed to much Friday night countdown. This song comes on even before opening lyrics I was gone. This might be to me the most sonically perfect tune ever written. From the lyrics to the music everything just perfection. The lengths I went so blissey and I could have this song on repeat before I could buy the cd. Still remember annoying salesmen at future shop singing this on the listening station. To any Smallville fans I've annoyed by saying I didn't watch again remember not everyone watches everything. But enjoy what you enjoy.
