The Blue Notebooks
Max Richter Lyrics

"Everyone carries a room about inside them. This fact can be proved by means of the sense of hearing. If someone walks fast and one pricks up one's ears and listens, say at night, when everything round about is quiet, one hears, for instance, the rattling of a mirror not quite firmly fastened to the wall."

Wow! what a masterpiece. This is perfect music for writing. I love it.

This is the opposite of Mozart. Mozart was sadness encased in a happy, beautiful melody. This is happiness and hope in a sad musical envelope. Well done Max Richter.

Brillant! You´re right.

Messiaen was also good at that. Try 'Turangalila' , it feels sad but leaves you feeling so happy. I suppose it may be because it is such an expression of aweful (note the 'e') beauty.

"Opposite" ends of a complexity/minimalist continuum as well...

@Unicorniaev It's more like a comfort in despair. Pure empathy.

At last, found this piece of music after listening to something similar by Max Richter - believe me, first heard it on Late Junction (BBC Radio 3) a lifetime ago - thanks for this upload.

This is probably the best music I've ever listened to because it somewhow manages to make me happy and sad at the same time, and that isn't a bad thing because I feel weirdly statisfied as an outcome of hearing this. Love it!

Well spoken my friend, now run don't walk to your nearest museum of art, look for and find a painting,a sculpture an etching, wherein the artist speaks to you, perhaps of a place,of a thing,of a story that he/she, has worked to convey. Every artist that I personally am acquainted with strives to do this. Bare our inner stories, strive to take the work we done into the depths of your being. And it truly is the reason that so many of us loose our tenuous gripes to sanity. It is the inner and urgent need of every serious artist to convey that story.....
