Due to the almost constant touring and recording with The Prodigy, Maxim rarely had a chance to make his own solo material. After the band started to take it more easy after the intense touring to support The Fat of the Land in late 1998, he finally had the spare time to work and finish some of his projects. That year he released "Dog Day" on the XL promo Against the Grain, which also featured Howlett's "Dirtchamber Remix" of "Diesel Power" (from The Fat of the Land) and Maxim's cover version of the Rolling Stones' "Factory Girl". On 9 August 1999 Maxim released the EP My Web, which contained five tracks. In 2000 Maxim had a collaboration with Skin from Skunk Anansie on the song "Carmen Queasy", which remains his biggest solo success. A second single, "Scheming", was released September 11, and finally the full-length
album Hell's Kitchen, was released on 2 October 2000.
Keith "Keeti" Palmer (born 21 March 1967, in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, England), best known as Maxim or Maxim Reality, is an MC of the British electronica/rave band The Prodigy. He is known for his fierce style of appearance in both music videos and live shows, often wearing coloured contact lenses and kilts. His fierce style is also vibrant in the lyrical sense; in live shows he is known to scream and shout to hype up the audience. He is married and has a son named Tay (born in 2002).
Pre-Prodigy history
Maxim was born in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, England, youngest of four children, he went to the Jack Hunt secondary school, also in Peterborough. He enjoyed writing poetry and verse and began MC-ing around the age of 14. He gained inspiration from his ten year older MC brother, MC Starky Ban Tan, who introduced him into the Peterborough Reggae Soundsystem Scene. At the age of 17 he had his first gig in Basingstoke. Ian Sherman, a fellow musician from Nottingham teamed up with Maxim and they formed Maxim Reality and Sheik Yan Groove, where Sherman made the music and Maxim contributed with lyrics. After recording some tracks together and not getting any attention from the record industries, Maxim decided to disband and went on a three month travel throughout Europe and North Africa. Upon returning to England he moved to London to get more into the music and reggae scene of the metropol. Through a friend, Ziggy, he was offered a gig with a band called The Prodigy, which he accepted. He was planning to do just a few gigs with the band, but he later decided to stay. His maniac appearance and intense performance made him popular in the rave scene.
MC of The Prodigy
Originally joining The Prodigy to make the live shows become more alive, Maxim's lyrical talents were later incorporated in the studio works of the albums after The Prodigy Experience from 1992 (although his vocal contributions were heard in the live track "Death of the Prodigy Dancers" on Experience). Maxim provided lyrics in the single "Poison" from Music For the Jilted Generation (1994), as well as in the hit single "Breathe" from The Fat of the Land (1997). However, on the Prodigy album Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned from 2004, his vocal works were completely absent, apart from the single "Spitfire" and an appearance on the albums first single "Girls" in form of a remix called "More girls". He is still a full member of the band, though, performing in the live shows and, according to their official web site, recording material with Liam Howlett.

Gaslight the chemical, combust original
Physical geometry, oracle rhyme mineral
Emphasis the snatom, soul crack the atom
Internal affecter, 85 detector
My optic analyse ghetto, supreme spectrum
Glass profile the style, bling reflect
Triple decks and levels, the tri-tech projection
Shoot a beam for the need of a dig in the times

Let it be the main line in a text from vein to mind
Let the chromosomes attack, simulate your fate
Ship-shape in the matrix, rewind the date
I am the vector inspector mechanism
2000 reflect your spectral years are written
Walk, do not defect or betray your schism
I'll force you down, inject the compact revision
Scan the drive until your terror byte based and spliced
You're flat-line, let your mind and head space
On line for micron downloads and modes
Suppose your parallel shall eclipse, explode
I want 3000 and 1 of those killer clones
For exercise assault and time ports and worm holes, the do
For jewel of mankind unscrolled
Was delivered in the liver of a humanoid mole
Who broke wild from the memories of organic thoughts of the past
That clashed with the matters of facts
From the death star chip in his eye had a glitch
He had a flashback, a banging, rap sheets and track
With a gift, the swift, the flux flex perplexed, the code X crossed react
Over the grid of the ship and bus bray X ray and bounce with the blue print
Into the moon link orbit of Triton he wrote digital images
Barrier being the carrier of the code X jewels
The son of Synthetica moves stealth
Stylo the Stellar Killer Beon
The innocents that help hard shell 9000 parallel hell
I am the vector inspector mechanism

The lyrics of Maxim's song Spectral Wars are complex and full of vivid imagery. The singer talks about technology and its impact on our lives, describing a world where everything is analyzed and broken down into microscopic components. The first verse talks about how everything, even the small and non-visual, is analyzed and manipulated. He talks about the importance of science and technology and emphasizes its power to change our reality as we know it. He also mentions the importance of language, particularly rhyme and metaphor, in conveying ideas.
The second verse is more intense and aggressive, with the singer describing how technology can be used to exert control and domination over others. He talks about surveillance and the monitoring of thoughts and actions, and how this can lead to a loss of individuality and creativity. He sounds a warning to those who would betray their principles and become part of a system that exploits and oppresses others.
Overall, Spectral Wars is a song about the conflict between humanity and technology, about the dangers of surrendering to the control of machines, and about the importance of maintaining our humanity in the face of technological progress.

tracking down Divine Styler to drop his five percenter mathematical verses over this track still fascinates me and would love to know how it came to be, as around the time he was very elusive and hadn't been seen on a record since house of pain's last album in 1996. love this though, its like a sequel to Diesel Power
