Due to the almost constant touring and recording with The Prodigy, Maxim rarely had a chance to make his own solo material. After the band started to take it more easy after the intense touring to support The Fat of the Land in late 1998, he finally had the spare time to work and finish some of his projects. That year he released "Dog Day" on the XL promo Against the Grain, which also featured Howlett's "Dirtchamber Remix" of "Diesel Power" (from The Fat of the Land) and Maxim's cover version of the Rolling Stones' "Factory Girl". On 9 August 1999 Maxim released the EP My Web, which contained five tracks. In 2000 Maxim had a collaboration with Skin from Skunk Anansie on the song "Carmen Queasy", which remains his biggest solo success. A second single, "Scheming", was released September 11, and finally the full-length

Keith "Keeti" Palmer (born 21 March 1967, in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, England), best known as Maxim or Maxim Reality, is an MC of the British electronica/rave band The Prodigy. He is known for his fierce style of appearance in both music videos and live shows, often wearing coloured contact lenses and kilts. His fierce style is also vibrant in the lyrical sense; in live shows he is known to scream and shout to hype up the audience. He is married and has a son named Tay (born in 2002).
Pre-Prodigy history
Maxim was born in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, England, youngest of four children, he went to the Jack Hunt secondary school, also in Peterborough. He enjoyed writing poetry and verse and began MC-ing around the age of 14. He gained inspiration from his ten year older MC brother, MC Starky Ban Tan, who introduced him into the Peterborough Reggae Soundsystem Scene. At the age of 17 he had his first gig in Basingstoke. Ian Sherman, a fellow musician from Nottingham teamed up with Maxim and they formed Maxim Reality and Sheik Yan Groove, where Sherman made the music and Maxim contributed with lyrics. After recording some tracks together and not getting any attention from the record industries, Maxim decided to disband and went on a three month travel throughout Europe and North Africa. Upon returning to England he moved to London to get more into the music and reggae scene of the metropol. Through a friend, Ziggy, he was offered a gig with a band called The Prodigy, which he accepted. He was planning to do just a few gigs with the band, but he later decided to stay. His maniac appearance and intense performance made him popular in the rave scene.
MC of The Prodigy
Originally joining The Prodigy to make the live shows become more alive, Maxim's lyrical talents were later incorporated in the studio works of the albums after The Prodigy Experience from 1992 (although his vocal contributions were heard in the live track "Death of the Prodigy Dancers" on Experience). Maxim provided lyrics in the single "Poison" from Music For the Jilted Generation (1994), as well as in the hit single "Breathe" from The Fat of the Land (1997). However, on the Prodigy album Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned from 2004, his vocal works were completely absent, apart from the single "Spitfire" and an appearance on the albums first single "Girls" in form of a remix called "More girls". He is still a full member of the band, though, performing in the live shows and, according to their official web site, recording material with Liam Howlett.

Worldwide Syndicates
Maxim Lyrics

Yo, digital satellite uplink
We ain't talkin' about no lifestyle, gold cufflinks
Whatever, yo, yo, yo
I know the link between wide world syndicates
We took the borders, the borders so delicate
I know the link between wide world syndicates
I know the link between wide world syndicates
We took the borders, the borders so delicate
I know the link between wide world syndicates
Syndicates, syndicates
Gaseous attack, I broadcast these facts
So the masses react
'cause we're trapped in the worldwide worldwide deception
Stock markets crash, blast from the hash
Deep within the torture of prisoners of war
It's martial law, harsh to indoors
This New World Order try manslaughter
Time on every borderline as the blind follow the blind
2001 Space Odyssey collapsin' the economy
Grim reaper maximum prodigy
Ain't no hard drives, lookin' all pretty
We talk about smart cards, life in the city
It's shitty I concentrate, contemplate
How can I take the weight?
Wipe your tears for your son, mom
'cause Vietnam was sorta like a high school prom
Prepared to take this destruction
Governments got in construction
Your life will be worth less than dust then
Actions to cover the earth with radiation, alert
The ozone layer is goin' to burst
Someone uses another and then they both perish
Death to the power of the sun, and they can't bear it
Hear it explained and clear, in your eardrum
New York to England, tight like a snare drum
Maxim, poetic and Diamond J
Help you find a way
Before mankind decays
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Inside these vertical villages where we murder and pillages
And watch our own earth diminish
Niggas' store owners become album killers
I love them soldiers, they got no limits
Trap ya soul in it, niggas who flow with it
Soul with it and busy start throwin' kisses
At young brothers in show business
Paint a picture so vivid you can feel it
I know the link between wide world syndicates
We took the borders, the borders so delicate
I know the link between wide world syndicates
We took the borders, the borders so intricate
I know the link between wide world syndicates
We took the borders, the borders so delicate
I know the link between wide world syndicates
Syndicates, syndicates
What's goin' on in
A confusin' time from all, everybody's got to agree
The complex state of affairs, peer pressure
Who's the aggressor, who's the spartacists?
Who can we trust, what future lies before us?
I must stress it's down to intellect
Over tiredness, over exertion, perversion
The strain, we put on the life game
Many men want to find the meanin'
To the colorful palette of everyday scenarios
Touch of a button, violate nature's laws
Big bad claws, neither mine, neither yours
We take this chaos, no respect
Do we have to wreck everythin'?
We have to take steps to protect all assets
Which rules our intellect we cannot forget
Too many wild cards in the pack, elusive characters
Politicians to barristers, lunatics, madmen
Shop owners, straight through to lecturers
The so called 'Good fellas'
Obscenity of hypocrisy, it's genuine
I plan to ruin, I make a profit out of everything
Ranging from snake skins to amphetamines
Precious stones, to bitumen
I know the link between wide world syndicates
We took the borders, the borders so delicate
I know the link between wide world syndicates
We took the borders, the borders so intricate
I know the link between wide world syndicates
We took the borders, the borders so delicate
I know the link between wide world syndicates
Syndicates, syndicates
The song "Worldwide Syndicates" by Maxim addresses the topic of globalization and its negative impact on the world. It criticizes the idea of a single global society and highlights the danger of international corporations and governments that control everything. The lyrics start with introducing the concept of digital satellite uplink and stress that the song is not about the luxurious lifestyle represented by gold cufflinks. The chorus repeats the line "I know the link between wide world syndicates/we took the borders, the borders so delicate" in a way that reinforces the idea of how easily transnational corporations can cross borders and manipulate countries.
The song also talks about the worldwide deception, where people are trapped in believing in the myth of a united world while in reality, everyone is suffering from the harsh regulations and control of international elites. The lyrics mention the collapse of the stock market, torture of prisoners of war, and the dangers of the New World Order that leads to manslaughter. The song continues to emphasize how governments use propaganda to control people's perception of events and how the media manipulates information to make people forget the truth.
The song also reflects on the loss of traditional values in a world that is becoming more materialistic. The lyrics talk about young brothers in the show business who are distracted by the glamour and fame and get trapped in the "vertical villages" where they "murder and pillage." Throughout the song, Maxim and Diamond J question who to trust, who is the aggressor, and what the future holds for humanity.
