1) Maxine Ella Brown (born 18 August 1939, in Kingstree, South Carolina) is an American soul singer.
She began singing as a child, performing with two New York based gospel groups when she was a teenager. In 1960, she signed with the small Nomar record label, who released the smooth soul ballad "All in My Mind" late in the year. The single became a hit, climbing to number two on the R&B charts (number 19 pop), and it was quickly followed by "Funny", which peaked at number three. Brown was poised to become a star, and she moved to ABC-Paramount in 1962, but left the label within a year and signed to the New York based, uptown soul label, Wand, in 1963.
Brown recorded her best work at Wand, having a string of moderate hits for the label over the next three years. Among these were the Carole King / Gerry Goffin song "Oh No Not My Baby", which reached number 24 on the pop charts; "It's Gonna Be Alright"; and several duets with Chuck Jackson. However, the label focused much of their attention on Dionne Warwick, leaving Maxine Brown to toil in semi-obscurity.
In 1969, she left Wand and signed first with Commonwealth United and then Avco Records, but her later recordings met with little commercial success. Despite her lack of hits, Brown is acknowledged as one of the finest R&B vocalists of her time, capable of delivering soul, jazz, and pop with equal aplomb.
2) Maxine Brown (April 27, 1931 – January 21, 2019) was an American country music singer who was originally a member of the successful 1950s trio the Browns, before a brief solo career.

Now I wanna come back to you
Oh, yes, I do, I know
I know I was wrong
But deep down in my soul
But now I wanna come back to you
Oh, oh, oh, coming
Oh, yes, I'm coming back to you
Oh, yes, I'm coming back to you
Darling, I'm coming
Oh, I wanna come back to you
Oh, oh, I want your forgiving
Oh, your forgiving arms of love
Cause darling, I wanna
Come back to you
You know sometimes
A love will go astray
(Sometimes a love will go astray)
But now I wanna
Come back to you, darling
(And now I'm coming back to you)
And although I've done you wrong
I believe I learned my lesson by now
(I learned my lesson) yes and I had to
Learn it the hardest way (hardest way)
And if you'll forgive me, darling
And give me one more chance
And crawl back to you
I wanna come back home to to you now
Oh, oh, oh, coming
Oh, yes, I'm coming back to you
Oh, yes, I'm coming home to you
Darling, I'm coming
Oh, I coming back to you
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
Oh, your arms for the love
Oh, darling, I wanna come back
I've got to come back to you
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
Coming back to you
Oh, yes, I'm coming back...

The song is generally straightforward in its narrative, with the singer acknowledging that they made a mistake and left their loved one cold – but now they want to come back. The lyrics express the deep longing and regret felt by the singer, and their desire to make amends and return to the person they love. There is a sense of humility and vulnerability in the lyrics, with lines like "If I have to get down on my knees, And crawl back to you" emphasizing the extent to which the singer is willing to go to make things right.
The song is notable for its soulful, impassioned vocal performance by Maxine Brown, as well as its lush, orchestral arrangement. The sweeping strings and horn section add to the grand, romantic feel of the song, and help to accentuate the emotional arc of the lyrics. In addition, the song's structure is relatively simple, with just two verses and a chorus that repeats throughout the song. This simplicity allows the focus to remain on the powerful emotions expressed in the lyrics and the performance.
Overall, "Coming Back to You" is a timeless example of a classic love song that speaks to the eternal nature of human emotions and relationships. It captures the ups and downs of romantic love, the feeling of regret when things go wrong, and the overwhelming desire to make things right and return to the person you love.
